How You Wakeup

So while on steroids for some issues i havent been sleeping. Like at all. After a 4 AM night with the g/f I'm struggling to wake up enough to do the homework/busywork i have due for class tomorrow. So my question is: how do you get going after a long night/early morning? Hangover cures can be part of this but not the point :lol:

Me it tends to go:
1. Bitch about being up even though my alarm hasnt gone off
2. Check out stuff on the computer
3. find breakfast
4. drink caffeine (mountain dew preferably)
5. Shower/brush teeth/hygeine

And if im still not awake by then: im pretty fucked the rest of the day.

3. Shower
4. Work

I've been bringing breakfast to work with me lately. Usually a bagel or a muffin. It's been working out a lot better time wise than trying to make a nice hot breakfast.

1. Hit Snooze 1-4 times while checking the clock
2. Lay back down in what feels to me is probably the most comfortable position ever.
3. Get the F up because I know I'll just be fresh in a couple of hours no matter what I feel like at this moment.
4. Bathroom
5. Food/Internet/Cable simultaneously
6. Get Ready
7. Drive to work.
8. At work I either brought a caffeinated soda, or a buy a Monster energy drink as soon as I get there.

Forcing myself to start moving, even if it is robotic, is what wakes me up. Although, since I am addicted to caffeine , if I don't have a soda or an energy drink I will hit a wall of fatigue somewhere.

I'm awful at getting up, It's rare that I get to sleep before 1:30 a.m.

1. Wake up to cell phone alarm #1 at 7:50.
2. Walk across room, snooze alarm #1, get back in bed.
3. Snooze cell alarm #2 at 7:58.
4. Snooze alarm clock on night stand at 8:05.
5. Snooze cell alarm #3 at 8:10.

then after finally getting up:

6. Shower (depending on how late I am lol).
7. Hygene.
8. Attempt to get to class.

God, I'm an awful morning person. I wish I ate breakfast, It'd be so much better off during the early morning with a bowl of cereal or something.

The snooze button is an evil invention if you got to bed a little late, don't necessarily need to get up at the crack of dawn but would like to get up early anyway. I've taken to setting two alarms and making sure they're out of reach because I can always seem to find that damn snooze button.

I never use the snooze button, I just get the hell up right away, I'm usually already awake anyway since I only sleep 4-5 hours per night. After that, brief breakfast, showering, getting ready, leaving for work.

Know what sucks about my snooze button? It's 7 fucking minutes and I have no idea how to change it. I thought I had changed it to 30 minutes one time, but since it reverted to 7 minutes again, I figure I just slept through it for 23 minutes.

One of my alarms has a set ten minute snooze button and the other allows a custom setting, which I currently have on five minutes. If I really want to make sure I avoid sleeping in, I'll bring in the kitchen timer as a third alarm as it has quite a piercing sound.

I setup ~4 alarms on my phone for the morning

first a get a 10 minute snooze, then 5 minute which usually wakes me up, then another 10 with a different alarm to get my ass out of bed

I usually get up pretty easily. Of course I just lay in my bed for 10 minutes after the alarm. Then check NBA scores, clean up and then to school. Usually I buy an energy drink after like the 4-5th lesson to keep me going. I drink them so much I don't really feel the coffeine kick in anymore.

- turn off like 3 to 4 different alarms (clock, phone, iPod, ..)
- go pee
- bathroom
- breakfast (optional though, depending how much time is left)
- go to school

The snooze of my phone is like 9 minutes. :|

- Wake up 1 hour before the alarm sounds
- Change the alarm time and adjust it one hour late
- Sleep
- Wake up when alarm sounds
- Snooze the alarm
- Wake up again
- Eat
- Bathe
- Get to look like a teacher
- Leave
- Arrive at work late by 30 minutes.

first thing i do is, pee, get sum water and go back to bed for couple minutes, then do whatever it is that i need to for the day. :cheeky:

I don't drink coffee at all,i just check everything at the PC and by then I'm pretty awake.(Theres a lot of stuff to check,so it takes about 15-20 minutes at least.)

I'm not a coffee drinker either. usually I don't have any trouble getting going once I'm up and out of bed, it's just resisting the temptation of the snooze button and five/ten more minutes of sleep, particularly in Winter.
