No way! 2k is a sports pc gamers savior! (Although MVP 2005 and its mods are great)

Nice but will there be online play , or will it be just like nba 2k9 (not that there's anything wrong with that , but it would be nice to lay the smackdown on people online instead of the cpu)

I'm hearing bad things about this game already, and not the usual bs before any game drops. There supposedly is a limit on editing players names , you can't change batting stances or pitching deliveries for created players, changing players jersey style (baggy, tight, etc.) is gone as well. I'm glad I can get it for pc because paying 60 bucks for a game with no editing possibilities would be a swift kick in the nuts.

It's probably got issues like any sports game, but it's my only option. Both gamestops had their "one" copy reserved, and Best Buy isn't getting it till tomorrow, so I'll have to wait and play the 360 demo a few more times. Hopefully since there was a patch available for the 360 and ps3 versions today, the PC patch won't be far off.

Who knows when us pc users will get the patch, but I'm sure we will get one. The game has some flaws, but it is playable and is probably worth a lousy 20 bucks. The file structure is pretty much exactly like NBA 2k9. Showfom's iff tool can open most if the iff files in the game.

That video looks pretty good (apart from the badly-captured Oswalt pitching action). Shame my PC won't run it and they probably won't sell it in Australia. Maybe it's a good thing, I've got a lot of work to do at school this year.

I wonder how far the 2K signature tendencies go. Is it just batting stances and pitching deliveries or does it go down to rituals and superstitions?

MVP Mods is doin some things with the iff editor now. Seems like its exactly the same.

I just got, its really good, it runs way smother than 2K9 and the graphics are really good, so far i haven't noticed any glitches, but there is no online gameplay

Because it doesn't have 12 people that are constantly moving (players + referee) around an area.
The most movement in a baseball game for the players is when a pitch is thrown-the ball is hit-players start running for base.
In basketball players constantly move, even in a halfcourt setting. Add the additional strain on FPS of NBA player's tattoos and hair, which is not present in a baseball game because of the uniform and helmets.

The game's animations look like Live 09's animations: they're either jerky or robotic. They don't go through the motion of swinging or delivering a pitch smoothly, that's a reason why MVP Baseball and MLB The Show are better games.

Wouldn't it be nice if The Show was a pc game...

I'll have to give MLB 2k9 a try. I was happy w/ last 2k game that came out for pc(NBA 2k9), so hopefully this one is awesome too.

it would be nice if the show was a pc game. then i would definitely get back into pc gaming. MLB 2k9 sucks on the pc and the 360. I'm dissapointed because baseball is my favorite sport and i can't even play a decent video game of it.
