"Monday Night Raw"

Image

From: Stone Mountain, Georgia
Date: April 1st
Heat Results: Mark Henry def. Hardcore Holly/Davari
Show Rating: ***

Match 1: Chris Masters vs. Matt Hardy - Singles Match
- This was a good match from start to finish. Hardy really worked on Master's head with some headlocks and chinlocks. Hardy followed that with a Side Effect. Masters picked up some momentum though and attacked with some power moves and a huge suplex that he hit near the end of the match. Hardy gained control of the match and hit the Twist of Fate on Masters to get the pinfall.

Winner: Matt Hardy
Match Rating: **

Match 2: Umaga vs. Kane - Singles Match
- Another very evenly matched battle, with both Umaga and Kane going at it. The match started off with Kane hitting a few huge punches and a big boot. Then, Umaga hit two powerslams in a row to take some control of the match. Kane countered that by hitting a powerslam of his own. Kane started to get on a roll, and finished the match with a Chokeslam from Hell, and pinned Umaga.

Winner: Kane
Match Rating: **1/2

Promo 1: Randy Orton Interview
- Orton talked about his match tonight against Batista and Triple H for the #1 Contendership for the WWE Championship at Backlash. He said even though they were all in Evolution, that they turned their back on him, and didn't give a damn about either of them.

Match 3: The Boogeyman vs. The Undertaker - Singles Match
- This match did not take very long as The Undertaker destroyed The Boogeyman. The Undertaker delivered a massive big boot on the outside of the ring that took everything out of The Boogeyman. The Undertaker then threw The Boogeyman back in the ring, and gave him the Tombstone Piledriver to win the match. But after the match, Umaga came out and started putting the beat down on The Undertaker. The Boogeyman and Umaga were pounding away at The Undertaker, when Kane came out to aid to his brother. Kane beat up Umaga and The Boogeyman and gave each of them Chokeslam's.

Winner: The Undertaker
Match Rating: **1/2

Promo 2: Main Event Hype
- They showed a video package of Evolution and when Orton won the Championship. Then, it showed when Flair, Batista, and Triple H turned on Orton and started beating him down in the middle of the ring. It then showed the graphic for the main event tonight.

Match 4: Mr. Kennedy/Finlay/Johnny Nitro vs. Booker T/John Cena/Shelton Benjamin - 6 Man Tag Team Match
- This match took a lot longer than the other ones, and was a great one too. The match began with Booker T and Mr. Kennedy in the ring together. Booker quickly took control and tagged in John Cena as Kennedy tagged in Johnny Nitro. Nitro got off a few moves on Cena, but Cena quickly gave Nitro a back suplex and the five-knuckle shuffle. Cena went for the pin, only to be broken up by both Finlay and Kennedy. Benjamin and Booker came into the ring to help Cena as the ref sent all the illegal superstars back into their corners. Cena tagged Shelton Benjamin in as he started the attack on Johnny Nitro. Nitro countered Superkick though and hit a one man Snapshot. Nitro stayed in the ring, which did not bode well for him. Benjamin got up and tagged Cena in. Cena gave Nitro the F-U, only to be broken up by Finlay and Kennedy again. So, Cena gave the F-U to Finlay. He than tagged Booker in, and Booker hit the Scissors Kick, and pinned Nitro.

Winner: Booker T/John Cena/Shelton Benjamin
Match Rating: **1/2

Match 5: Shawn Michaels vs. Edge - Singles Match
- Shawn Michaels started off the match with a few drop toe holds and submissions moves to Edge's head. He also, had his patented flying elbow after a huge knife edge chop to Edge. Edge didn't have much offense in this match although he did hit a nice armbar DDT, and pinned Michaels only to draw a 2 count from the referee. Michaels gave Edge a Sweet Chin Music to win the match by pinfall.

Winner: Shawn Michaels
Match Rating: ***

Main Event: Randy Orton vs. Batista vs. Triple H - #1 Contendership Triple Threat Match
- The match started with a lot of anticipation from the crowd. People quickly started chanting for Triple H and Batista. Batista and Triple H started working together to beat up on Orton, and really did that the whole match. Triple H hit a big spinebuster followed by one by Batista. The match went on like this until later in the match when something shocking happened. Triple H and Batista were just about to go for a double team move when Triple H started beating up on Batista. Triple H then Pedigreed Batista, got up, and got an RKO from Orton. Orton went for the pin, and got it on Triple H.

Winner: Randy Orton
Match Rating: ***1/2

"Monday Night Raw"

Image

From: San Antonio, Texas
Date: April 8th
Heat Results: Mark Henry def. Chris Masters
Show Rating: ***

Match 1: Batista vs. Johnny Nitro - Singles Match
- The match begun with Batista fired up and pissed off about last week. He took it out on Johnny Nitro with a few spinebusters and a bunch of clotheslines. Nitro didn't have one offensive move the whole match, and never had a chance to. Then Batista hit the Batista Bomb on Nitro in a short amount of time, and pinned Nitro for the win.

Winner: Batista
Match Rating: **1/2

Match 2: Harcore Holly/Finlay vs. Matt Hardy/Booker T - Tag Team Match
- A great performance by all four superstars in this match. The match began with Hardy and Holly in the ring together. Hardy quickly took control with a neckbreaker and a huge DDT. Holly than countered a suplex from Hardy and gave him a neckbreaker. Holly tagged in his partner Finlay while Hardy tagged in Booker. Booker used his wide arsenal of kicks to take Finlay out of his mat wrestling game. Finlay still got a few headlocks and submissions in though. Booker went for a Scissors Kick, only to be reversed by Finlay into a Celtic Cross, in which Booker countered. Booker tagged in Hardy and Finlay tagged Holly in. Holly didn't fare well against Hardy this time and received a Twist of Fate. Finlay came in to break up the tag though, and Hardy tagged Booker in. Booker hit the Scissors Kick this time on Holly and pinned him.

Winner: Matt Hardy/Booker T
Match Rating: **1/2

Promo 1: Mr. Kennedy Interview
- Mr. Kennedy hyped up his match with Shelton Benjamin coming up next. He also said that he was going to be the next Intercontinental Champion at Backlash. He also said that he has a announcement about his match at Backlash between himself and Benjamin, next week on Raw.

Match 3: Mr. Kennedy vs. Shelton Benjamin - Singles Match
- Mr. Kennedy entered to his usual antics and announced his name on the microphone. Shelton Benjamin came out right when Kennedy was announcing his name, and Kennedy looked unhappy about this. Kennedy began the strikes on the outside of the ring, and the match wasn't officially underway. Kennedy was about to suplex Benjamin on the outside, when Benjamin reversed it into a suplex of his own. Benjamin threw Kennedy in the ring and the match was now officially under way. Benjamin started the attack inside the ring with some fury punches and a heel kick. Kennedy looked dazed after the big kick, and Benjamin went straight to the ground to work on Kennedy's arm. Benjamin had an armbar locked in for a while until Kennedy maintained a vertical base. Kennedy started punching with his other arm, but Benjamin than kicked Kennedy again. Benjamin went to the top rope to do a high risk maneuver, but Kennedy got out of the way. Kennedy than pushed Benjamin into the referee who went down. While the ref was down, Kennedy went and got a chair and starting beating down on Shelton. Kennedy than set him up for the Green Bay Plunge and connected. Kennedy than hit the Kenton Bomb, and pinned Benjamin.

Winner: Mr. Kennedy
Match Rating: ***

Match 4: The Boogeyman/Umaga vs. Kane/The Undertaker - Tag Team Match
- This match did not take long as The Boogeyman started an assault on Kane. He hit a fall-away slam on Kane to start the match. Then, The Boogeyman hit a few punches. This match would not last much longer as Umaga grabbed a chair for The Boogeyman. The Boogeyman than gave a DDT to Kane on a chair. And the referee rang the bell and DQ'ed The Boogeyman and Umaga. They started the beat down on Kane and The Undertaker, and ran backstage.

Winner: Kane/The Undertaker (via DQ)
Match Rating: **1/2

Match 5: Randy Orton vs. Triple H - Singles Match
- Randy Orton showed no respect to Triple H at the beginning of the match, and Triple H was not having it. He quickly whipped Orton into the ropes and gave him a high knee. This was followed up by Facebuster Knee Smash. Then, Triple H started to work on Orton's leg. Triple H put Orton in a Half Boston Crab, and then followed that by a drop onto Orton's leg. Orton then countered Triple H's Pedigree and gave him a back body drop. Orton then waited until Triple H got up and gave him a big missile dropkick from the top rope. Triple H was down for a while, and Orton just taunted. Triple H got up, just to get whipped off the rope and drop kicked by Orton again. Orton waited for him to get up to give him the RKO, but Triple H rolled out of the ring. Orton followed him, and tryed to whip Triple H into the steel steps. Triple H countered and whipped Orton into the steel steps. Triple H threw Orton back into the ring and went for the pin. Orton kicked out and rolled Triple H up. Triple H kicked out, and both superstars got up and faced each other. Orton quickly went for the RKO, and hit it. He pinned Triple H for the win.

Winner: Randy Orton
Match Rating: ***

Promo 2: Edge Adresses The Fans
- Edge came out and told all the fans that once he won the match for the final spot in the WWE Championship match, that he would beat Randy Orton. Edge brings up how well he has done at Backlash and that nobody could stop him with the roll that he is on. Right as Edge is about to say something else, John Cena's music hits and the Main Event is going to start.

Main Event: Edge vs. John Cena vs. Shawn Michaels - #1 Contendership Triple Threat Match
- The match was under way with a lot of high flying action from Shawn Michaels. He hit a few clotheslines on both opponents and then hit his patented flying elbow off of the top rope. He went for the pin on Cena, but Edge broke it up. Michaels looked up, and got a spinning heel kick from Edge. Cena got back up and hit Edge with a few punches, then into a fisherman's suplex. By this time Shawn Michaels had already gotten up and was measuring up Cena for the Sweet Chin Music. Cena ducked and Michaels missed it. Cena than put Michaels into an F-U, only to be countered again by Michaels. Edge got back up and all three competitors looked at each. They all went after each other, and Edge took a little bit of an advantage when he threw Cena over the rope. He turned around and... bam! Michaels hit the Sweet Chin Music on him, and pinned him.

Winner: Shawn Michaels
Match Rating: ***1/2

I couldn't believe it either. He was rated like a 52 popularity.

Somehow, when he won it, Smackdown gained more fans than I did.

"Monday Night Raw"

Image

From: Rome, Italy
Date: April 15th
Heat Results: The Boogeyman def. Mark Henry
Show Rating: **1/2

Match 1: John Cena vs. Johnny Nitro - Singles Match
- The match started off with the regular lockup in the middle of the ring with Cena winning it easily. Cena got a huge amount of moves in this match including a 5 Knuckle-Shuffle, Fisherman's Suplex and even a nice dropkick in which we haven't seen Cena do since he was on Smackdown. Cena finished the match with two shoulder blocks in a row, and then Nitro got up and received the F-U. Cena pinned and won the match.

Winner: John Cena
Match Rating: **1/2

Match 2: Daivari/Chris Masters vs. Booker T/Matt Hardy - Tag Team Match
- The match started off with Daivari and Booker T in the ring. Daivari quickly went after Booker with some straight punches. But Booker wasn't hurt that bad from them and actually repelled some of them. Booker than went on a roll with a headlock, back suplex, knee drop combination. He tagged Hardy in and he got a few moves off on Daivari including a second rope leg drop. Daivari countered a submission move later in the match, and tagged in Masters. Hardy tagged Booker back in, but Masters went to work. He hit a powerslam and two scoop slams to begin. He went to the outside of the ring and knocked Hardy out with a huge clothesline and went inside the ring and put Booker in the Masterlock. Booker gave up and Masters won the match.

Winner: Daivari/Chris Masters
Match Rating: **1/2

Promo 1: PPV Hype
- A video package is shown with Randy Orton and Shawn Michaels both in it hyping up the title match at Backlash. It also shows some of the matches that are planned and that it will be a "Champions Night" with every single title from Raw in it.

Match 3: Hardcore Holly vs. Kane - Singles Match
- Kane started off the match whipping Holly into the turnbuckle and giving him a running clothesline which dazed him. Holly then got a big right hand from Kane. Kane tryed to go for the Chokeslam right away, but Holly countered and punched Kane a few times. He knocked over the Big Red Machine, but Kane sat up and whipped Holly into the turnbuckle. Holly walked right into a side slam. Holly got up and received a Chokeslam from Hell courtesy of Kane. Kane pinned.

Winner: Kane
Match Rating: **

Match 4: Batista vs. Finlay - Singles Match
- This was a quick match that showed Batista ferocious and fired up. He didn't crack a smile at all, and looked pretty mad when he came down to the ring. The match started with Batista going after Finlay's legs, but then switching and going for the power game. Batista got off a big running clothesline followed by a spinebuster. Finlay walked outside the ring to get a breather but Batista followed him and gave him a Batista Bomb on the outside of the ring. Finlay was counted out.

Winner: Batista (via Count-out)
Match Rating: **1/2

Promo 2: Triple H Interview
- Triple H was standing by with Todd Grisham backstage. Todd asked him what his thoughts were about Orton's title shot and his match tonight against Orton. Triple H said that Orton better be ready because he was going to destroy Randy one-on-one tonight. Just as Triple H was about to say something else, Shawn Michaels pops onto the screen. He tells Triple H that he won't be doing it alone tonight. He says that there will be a tag team match, Triple H and Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton and a partner of his choice. Triple H shakes Michaels hand and tells him that he is ready to go.

Match 5: Shelton Benjamin vs. Umaga - Singles Match
- Mr. Kennedy is ringside commentating with Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross during this match. The match starts with Umaga on the attack with a Samoan Drop and a Sidewalk Slam. Benjamin retaliates with some kicks and punches. He than starts to work on Umaga's arm, but Umaga counters and whips Benjamin into the turnbuckle very hard. Umaga goes for his butt move, but Shelton moves out of the way and hits a superkick. Just as Benjamin is about to pin, Kennedy runs into the ring and hits Shelton with a steel chair into the head. Kennedy and Umaga start beating up on Shelton when The Boogeyman runs out and helps them. After they beat Benjamin up for a while, The Undertaker and Kane run out to the ring to help Shelton. The Boogeyman and Umaga clear the ring and clearly don't want a piece of Kane or The Undertaker.

Winner: Shelton Benjamin (via DQ)
Match Rating: **1/2

Main Event: Randy Orton/Edge (Rated RKO) vs. Shawn Michaels/Triple H (DX) - Tag Team Match
- This was easily the MOTN, because both teams brought it all to the ring. The beginning of the match was very fast paced with Michaels and Orton both in the ring. Orton quickly tagged Edge, because he didn't want anything to do with Michaels. Michaels and Edge quickly locked up in the middle of the ring, and Edge gained advantage by putting Michaels in a head lock. Edge taunted the crowd a little bit, and got booed. Michaels then started to gain leverage on Edge and gave him a few elbows into the stomach. Michaels then whipped Edge off the rope and gave him a flying clothesline, followed by another one, and then a Lou Thesz Press. Edge was down for a while until Michaels tagged in Triple H. Triple H went straight for Edge's head by giving a flurry of right hands. He than gave Edge a High Knee and went for a pin, only to be broken up by Orton. At that point, Edge started to gain an advantage. He gave Triple H a spinning heel kick that took both men down for a while. They each crawled to their corners and slowly tagged in their partners. Michaels quickly started to attack Orton with two clothelines, an Inverted Atomic Drop, and a flying elbow from the top rope. Michaels started to tune up the band, when Edge came from behind and choked Michaels while the referee was distracted by Orton. Michaels was down in the corner and Triple H came in illegally to beat up Orton, but Edge came in. Edge was given a humongous spinebuster an he rolled out of the ring. Orton was waiting for Triple H though, and gave him a RKO. Both men were down for a while, and Michaels was back up getting ready to deliver a Sweet Chin Music. Orton and Triple H got up at the same time and Michaels went for the Sweet Chin Music on Orton, but he ducked and Michaels delivered it to Triple H. Orton than rolled Michaels up and got the win.

Winner: Randy Orton/Edge
Match Rating: ***

this sounds interesting but i know nothing about this game. do you pick more than 1 wrestler to use? do you wrestle every match or does the computer sim matches each week? do you set what the mkatchups are or does the computer pick them?

GM Mode gives you control over all the wrestlers on your brand. You can choose to sim the matches you book or play any number of them if you wish. It's usually better to play a few so you can control the direction of a feud and keep wrestlers happy with victories every now and then.

Yep, Andrew got it.

Anyways, I will tell you that the backstories to these matches are written by me, but they don't reflect how the match went on my game. The results are still the same though.

Update tonight.

ok man, you are making me want to buy this game. thats gotta be a sure sign of a great story thread.

only reason i have not been buying these games any more is i dont know many of the wrestlers. i guess i am still stuck on the old timers like macho man, jake the snake, superfly, ultimate warrior(my fav), and the giant(the real giant). i know they made that legends of wrestling game but i never got it.
