NLSC FM07 Interactive Game | Month 1 Update, Part 2

Welcome to the NLSC FM07 Interactive Game (Vol 2).

Basically, he's what it's about; I have created all of the players that signed up for the game using the FM data editor. I have now started a new game with the new roster and will let the game simulate everything. I'll then write updates once a month on how the players are performing, what has happened to them and what their situation is. Keep in mind that we/I don't have any control over your player from here on out. Basically, we leave everything up to the game with only the ratings you entered as a base.

As you can see, there's quite a variation amongst the players. Some are young, raw talent playing for the youth squads, while some are older, more developed. They are all spread out over a total of 6 leagues around Europe. To find out what will happen to them, stay tuned. Welcome to the NLSC FM07 Interactive Game...

The first month included only friendly matches, and quite a lot of them. So I decided to part the first month review in two parts due to the extensive contents.
Now, due to the fact that they were all friendly games, the game does not record a bunch of stats, so I have decided not to write down the players’ statistics, but only a recap of their games. There'll be more stuff once they start playing real games.
So, here's the first half of the first month (a.k.a. pre-season):

Nick Barnshaw (a.k.a. Nick) made his first appearance for Roma as he was brought up to the first squad to play in the 2-1 friendly loss between Roma and Second Division German team FC Energie Cottbus. Nick was brought on in the 70th minute and played a good game. He made 4 out of 6 passes, including an assist to his rival Loris Lorini who is competing for the same spot that he is. He also got a shot of his own on goal, but the goalkeeper made an easy save. But, other than that, he missed a few tackles and headers as well as making a bad tackle and his overall game wasn't very convincing.
Nick was once again given a chance to play with the Roma first squad as they played Linense in a friendly match. Nick was brought in during the 41st minute and played fairly well. He made 13 out of 15 passes, won 1 out of 2 tackles, got an interception, but also made two fouls. All in all he had a decent game before getting substituted out again in the 89th minute.
Nick also got to make his first appearance for the Roma Reserves as he started in their friendly match against Castel di Sangro. He made 22 out of 29 passes but also missed a header and a tackle and was later brought out in the 64th minute.

Overall Nick had a decent first month at his club playing in 3 friendly matches (2 for the first test and 1 for the reserve team). And seeing Nick starting for the Reserves come regular season seems like a feasible goal for him.

Dadinha (a.k.a. dada) got to play his first game for Manchester City as they faced Auxerre in a friendly match that ended in a tie. Dadinha only got to come on the pitch in the 85th minute though and could of course not do much during that time. He did have a fairly dangerous shot on goal though, but Auxerre's keeper David Hervé was able to keep it out with a fine save.
Dadinha was then once again brought up to the first team for a friendly match. This time it was against Oldham, and Manchester City won it 2-1. Dadinha was yet again brought in to the pitch very late in the game, this time to replace Claudio Reyna and he was able to play a good game despite the little time left.
In Dadinha's third game for Manchester City the Reserve team took in Sutton United but lost 3-2. Dadinha got to play from start but was substituted out in the 42nd minute. During that time he played well in getting a few interceptions and making most of his passes.
Dadinha got to start for his fourth game as the Manchester City Reserves took on Exeter and what start it was as he scored his first ever goal for Manchester City 11 minutes into the game. But for some strange reason, despite playing very well, the coach took him off the field only 16 minutes into the game.
Dadinha continued playing well for his team. He started and finished the game against Bury, and played really well. He made 11 out of 24 passes, one of which was an assist to Stephen Ireland who tied the game up 2-2. He also had two shots, one went right above the bar and one that the goalie managed to save without much of an effort. For his good play, Dadinha was awarded Man of the Match.

Dadinha has started to make a name for himself at Manchester City and is most likely going to start for his Manchester City Reserve squad as the season gets underway and will surely work on getting to play for the first squad.

Andreas Dahl played his first game when the Tottenham Reserves took on Werxham for a friendly. Andreas also got the honour of being named the captain before the game started. He played from start to finish and had quite a good game at the central midfield. He made 29 out of 47 passes, won his only tackle. He also won 1 out of 4 headers, but that header proved to be important as it became a breakaway in which Tottenham scored their only goal.
Andreas' got another chance to start for his second game for the Tottenham Reserve team, he wasn't the captain anymore though, but played a fairly good game again. Getting 18 out of 31 passes to their target, getting two interceptions and going on two offensive runs. Although he did get caught offside once and gave out a bad foul, he still had a good game before getting substituted in the 65th minute.

Andreas seems to have done well enough in practice and in the friendly matches to impress the coach, and seems to have good chance at the starting position for the Reserve squad.

Brendan Horton's (a.k.a. bigh0rt) first game could have ended better for the team. As the Chelsea Reserves took on Cardiff they lost 3-0. The score however wasn't due to Brendan. All of Cardiff's three goals came within the first 38 minutes, and Brendan didn't come on until the 64th. And while the starting goalkeeper, Hilário, played a good game, Brendan played an even better game. He stopped several good chances, and if it wasn't for him, the score line would most likely included two, if not three, more goals in the opposition's favour. This earned him the player of the game. Quite a first game.
During Brendan's second game for the Chelsea Reserves he started out doing quite well for himself, saving a few shots before he had to let one in. And only 5 minutes after that, he went out to cut off one of the opponent strikers, but caught his leg and got sent off with a red card. Still, with 23 minutes played he turned in a good performance.
Brendan had yet another stellar performance as he got to start for the Chelsea Reserve squad in a friendly against Lincon. Chelsea went on to win the game 2 to 0, and some of that was thanks to Brendan's good play in front of the goal as he saved several dangerous shots and kept a clean sheet. He got substituted out in the 80th minute.
Brendan started once again for the Chelsea Reserves as they faced Nuneaton in a friendly, although this time it didn't go very well as he had to let in 3 goals behind him during the game and the appearance didn't go too well.

Brendan showed his good goalkeeping abilities through a series of good games and will most likely be the Chelsea Reserves starting goalkeeper. As long as he keeps up his stellar play that is.

Jing got to play his first game for the Manchester City Reserves as they faced off against Sutton United and lost 3-2 in a friendly match. Jing did get 12 out of 13 passes right and a couple of interceptions, but overall he had quite a bad game. He was loosing headers and missed a few tackles and gave up three fouls. He was later substituted out in the 42nd minute and he could certainly have played a better game.
In his second game, Jing came onto the pitch after only 16 minutes and tried to make the best of it. He made 15 out of 18 passes, won 4 out of 6 tackles and got 5 interceptions. Still, there was something missing from his play, and he only had a decent game.
In the Manchester City Reserves friendly game against Bury, Jing came off the bench in the 61st minute and did alright. He made 7 out of 8 passes and got to 5 interceptions. Still, it wasn't a great performance as he missed some headers due to his height.

Jing didn't have an all that good pre-season and will probably have to start his season off on the bench for the Manchester City Reserves.

Cyriel Klitsie (a.k.a. cklitsie) started out his time at his new club on a rather negative note as he came down with a bad case of the flu, and had to stay home and rest for 10 days.
After coming back from his flu and practicing hard, he was selected to start for the AZ Reserves as they were facing Feignies in a friendly. Cyriel had a though time out on the pitch and only made 2 out of 9 passes, missed his one header and missed his one tackle. He was also caught offside and made two fouls before being substituted in the 31st minute. Cyriel will naturally not be satisfied with such a first game.
Despite doing quite poorly in his last game, Cyriel Klitsie was brought up to AZ's first team as they faced off with Partizan in a friendly match. He came onto the pitch in the 60th minute and played quite a good game. He took a couple of interceptions and made a tackle, but most noteworthy is a pass that he made to Shota Arveladze who managed to score off it that secured the 2-1 win.
Klitsie then got to start for the AZ Reserves and did alright. He made only 6 out of 17 passes, but took a few interceptions and fired off three good shots. One of which was on goal and caused a problem for the goalie, but a defender helped to clear the ball. Other than that he was a bit quiet throughout the game and didn't do much more.

Cyriel started off on a bit of a low, but did better and might find himself starting for the reserve team if he does well in practices.

Heiks Labidas (a.k.a. Heiks) put on his Arsenal jersey for the first time as he suited up to start in a friendly match between the Arsenal Reserves against Brentford. His game time was quite a bit shorter than he had expected though, as he was brought off after only 4 minutes due to concern for of injury, though it later proved to be nothing, and that he was alright.
Heiks got a chance to start his second game as the Arsenal Reserves took on English League Two team Mansfield. The right midfielder made 15 out of his 25 passes, won 1 out of 3 tackles. He also had a shot that went way above the goal, but other than that, he had a quiet game and was eventually substituted out in the 69th minute.
Heiks got brought up for his third game to play with the first squad against Pumas Morelos. He was substituted in at the 64 minute mark and played well. He made 4 out of 9 passes, including one that set up his team mate Cedric Evina free with the goalie that he scored on to give Arsenal their 2-2 equaliser.
Heiks got another chance to play for the first team in Arsenal as they faced off with Tijuana in a friendly that ended 1-1. He came on in the 71st minute and didn't really do much with the time he got on the pitch. Only some passes and an interception before the whistle blew, which Heiks won't be happy with.

He will most likely not continue getting to play with the first squad, but a starting position for the Reserves might not be too much to hope for.

As I said, the other half will come at a later time.

Quick, kinda OT question, are you playing the PC version or the xbox 360 version? Thinking about picking it up on the 360 if I can get it on sale somewhere and trade in some older games.

C.J. Mason (a.k.a. KIG1) got to play his first game for Arsenal as he was brought up from the U18 to the Reserve Squad to face Brentford and got subbed in. The difference in teams was noticeable as C.J. wasn't quite able to find his team-mates with his passes, as he only made 9 out of 18 passes. Missed some headers and tackled an opponent that gave them a dangerous free kick. But, he also managed to win a tackle, get an interception and get off a few good shots (none that made it on target however), so his overall performance wasn't that bad.
Despite not playing very convincing in his last game, C.J. got a chance to play with the first squad in his second game of the season in a friendly match against Pumas Morelos. He came in off the bench at halftime but was substituted back out at the 64 minute mark. During that time he had made 9 out of 16 pass attempts, won 1 out of 3 tackles and given up 2 fouls. He had also went on several runs down the right flank and gave the opposition some troubles. And played fairly well with the first team.
C.J. got another opportunity to play with the first squad in a friendly; this time against Tijuana. C.J. came on together with fellow NLSC'er Heiks Labidas in the 71st minute and played decent without really doing anything special with his time on the field but didn't show any sign of nervousness despite being on the pitch at the same time as some of his idols.

Despite being only 16 years of age, C.J. looked in promising form playing for the first team and reserves. His hard work surely didn't go unnoticed for the coach, as he plans to keep tabs on him as a potential first team call up down the line. For now, he will continue to test his skills at the Under-18 level.

Andrés Muñoz (a.k.a. Drex) got thrown right into the first squad as he made his first game appearance for Real Madrid during the friendly match against Spanish Second Division B team Racing Club de Ferrol S.A.D. Andrés came on the pitch in the 72nd minute along with three other players from the Real Madrid C squad trying to make an impression. Andrés had a decent 20 minutes on the field without really standing out. He made 6 out of 8 passes and won 2 out of 3 tackles. The best part of his game though was gotting 6 interceptions.
His second game was yet another friendly for the Real Madrid first team that wanted to give their younger players some time to play with the big boys. This time it was against Belgian team KAA Gent. Drex however only got to come on in the 81s minute and didn't have much time; but, he did well anyways, managing to get 5 interceptions, making 4 out of 6 passes and winning 2 out of 3 tackles during his 10 minutes on the pitch.
In his third game with the team, Andrés got to play with the first team yet again, as he came off the bench in the 76th minute during the 3-1 victory game against Olympiakos. Andrés got 7 out of his 8 passes on target and made an interception.

Thanks to his solid play, Andrés should find himself starting for the Real Madrid C squad once the season gets underway and have a good base to build upon for himself.

Unfortunately, Sam Anurak didn't get to play any games this month due to his Real Madrid C squad not having any scheduled matches. He also failed to get a first team call-up. However, once the season begins he will get his opportunity on the pitch with his C squad team-mates.

Aleksandinho Santos (a.k.a. Srbija) made his first appearance for Sporting CP's first squad as they faced Varzim in a friendly match. Things didn't go too well for him though as he got put in at the 61st minute, but was substituted out again in the 77th minute. During that time he didn't play very well at all, making only 3 out of 9 passes, making a foul and just didn't seem very alert out there.

I'm sure if Aleksandinho proves himself in practice, he'll be able to secure a bench spot for Sporting CP's first squad. And who knows, perhaps eventually the starting spot. But for now he needs to focus on getting more playing time.

Unfortunately, Robert Skrnjug (a.k.a. Jugs) was the second player out of the NLSC'ers (second to Cyriel Klitsie) to go down with an injury. His however was quite a bit more serious as he suffered a sprained ankle that left him out of action between 4 weeks and up to a month. Thus, he has yet to play anything this month, but when he gets fully recovered, he'll be sure to get put to the test by his coach.

Lpasso Sor (a.k.a. lpasso.sor) got to play his first game with Benfica against Spanish Second Division B team Racing Club de Ferrol S.A.D. coming off the bench in the 69th minute in the 1-1 draw. He made 6 out of his 7 passes, won 1 out of 2 headers and got 7 interceptions. All together he had a fairly good game with the first squad, without standing out all that much.
His second appearance for Benfica was in a friendly as they faced off against Chelsea. Benfica went down 2-0 early in the game and spent the rest of the game trying to recover. Lpasso didn't come on until the 82nd minute of the game. He did play fairly well though as he got all of his 6 passes on target, got an interception, won his only tackle and walked away with a decent performance.
His third game was a friendly against Lazio which they lost 2-0. Lpasso got, once again, substituted in late in the game, and yet he once again turned in a solid performance. Making all of his passes, winning his one header and showing a lot of effort.
Lpasso was then substituted in for Benfica in the 86th minute in their friendly game against E. Amadora and couldn't do much during that time, yet played alright during the little time he had.

Lpasso will certainly have secured a spot on the Benfica bench with his series of successful substitutions during the friendly matches this month. Hopefully he'll get more playing-time though, instead of just a few minutes at the end of the game to help prove himself.

Darius Tam (a.k.a. Marquis) got to play his first game for the Manchester United reserves from start to finish as they tied against Walsall. Darius played well throughout the game and got to 7 interceptions as well as won 2 out of 4 headers. Tam also got 3 out of 6 tackles, including a crucial one that stopped a counter attack. He only made 9 out 17 passes though, and wasn't the most consistent player on the team, but turned in a fairly good effort.
Darius would get to suit up to play with the Manchester United first squad in a friendly against Turkish Malatyaspor, but wasn't able to show Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson what he was made off, as he would only make his appearance in the 89th minute and wasn't able to do anything.
In his third game of the month he got to start for the Manchester United Reserves as they took on Antwerp. Tam didn't have the best of games as he won 1 out of 3 headers, 3 out of 5 tackles, made 9 out of 16 passes and not much more before eventually being substituted out in the 78th minute.
Darius' next game was with the Manchester United first squad in a friendly against Turkish team Bursaspor. Darius was given a chance to play the game from start to finish due to 3 players on Manchester Uniteds regular central defensive line being injured, but he failed to make the best of it. He did find 12 of his 19 passes to the right man, won 4 out of 5 tackles. But, he also made several bad tackles and lost all of his headers. So all in all, it wasn't a very good performance.
Tam didn't get to start for the Manchester United Reserves, but had to come off the bench in the 80th minute in the friendly loss against Southampton. There wasn't a lot of time, but he managed alright and walked away with a good performance, including 5 interceptions.
Darius got to start this time for the Manchester United Reserves as they faced Newport Co in a friendly, and he would not disappoint. He made 12 out of 20 passes, won 3 out of 4 tackles, won 1 out of 2 headers and got 6 interceptions. And to cap off the impressive performance, he scored a goal with 7 minutes remaining in the game just before being substituted.

Darius has started to make a name for himself at the Manchester United Reserve team, and will surely be one of the starting central defenders. Who knows, perhaps he'll even get called up to play with the big boys.

Andrew Watson (a.k.a. The X) got to come on the pitch rather early in his first game which was for the Celtic first team during their friendly match against Belgian Third Division B team Oudenaarde. He came on in the 32nd minute and got to stay on for the rest of the game. He had a fairly good game passing-wise making 14 out of his 17 passes. He also got 7 interceptions, but other than that he was rather quiet throughout the game.
Andrew's second game was with the Celtic Reserves in their game against the Scottish Third Division team Albion Rovers. Watson was tired from his last game though and only got to come off the bench in the 74th minute and it showed that he was tired, as he wasn't at all alert out there. He did however still show what a good presence he is as he managed quite amazingly to get a team high 9 interceptions in the merely 15 minutes that he was on the field. Still, his inactivity in the other areas wasn't very convincing.
His next game was against Standard, but this time he was rested. He came on in the 63rd minute and played a good game. He continued his solid defence this game with getting 8 interceptions. He also got 7 out of 9 passes to their right destination, made 1 out of 3 tackles and got 1 out of 2 headers.

Andrew will most likely be a regular in the Celtic Reserves starting lineup, but if he keeps playing with the same defensive presence and effort he'll make it to the first squad in not too long.

This was the second part of the first month update. That is now all the players.
Next up is the second month, and time for the players to really prove themselves as the real action starts with the new season.
