Downloading any vid off youtube

Postby WL_Sniper on Fri Aug 04, 2006 8:01 am

there is a site that you can put the url of the video you want to download from youtube and then be able to download it
http://javimoya.com/blog/youtube_en.php

just put the url in the top bar and click download then another bar thing will pop up just click download and you will have a file on your desktop or where ever you put it after the download is done

once the download is done right click the file and rename it so it has a .avi or any other type of video ending format that your video player uses like .flv or .wmv and you should be able to play it

hope this helps

Haven't tried it yet, but thanks a lot, sounds very useful! I was just thinking yesterday that there are a few vids I wish I could download. (Y)

I know theres also a Firefox extension thats similar, it allows you to download the movie straight from the youtube or google video page in the format you want.

Its called the greasemonkey script, you can get it here.

I used to get videos by that way too, but I found out another way to download YouTube videos faster... If you use Firefox, you can get this plugin (also from the same site)... With this plugin you won't have to go to that page and place the URL everytime, there's a button on the lower right corner of the browser you can click. Fast and easy (Y)

Change it to .avi or .flv

You can only play files using VLC player or FLV player.

With the Firefox plugin I mentioned on my previous post, it actually allows you to download any video on any particular webpage you're on... It searched for any video file's link and makes it available for download. It might not work if the video is streaming though....
