I had a pretty good conversation with a friend of mine yesterday where we developed a new idea for a sim league typish dynasty. I must be really bored since the summer doesn't seem to come.

The NLSC RPG - Live the life of a NBA superstar
The core : The Sims (1) and NBA Live

Ok, so each participant would have his own character. The characters live together in a house in The Sims. They live and earn money and what you do in the game. The characters form a NBA team that will play in a NBA Live game. Every day there would be an update of The Sims part and the NBA Live part.

Now this goes even deeper, not just being an ordinary dynasty where you see what happens, every participant controls his character's path. In The Sims part you will earn points from different achievements such as earning money, getting friends and skills. In the NBA Live part you will earn points from your performances on the court, points, assists, rebounds etc. The points can be used to buy stuff in The Sims part or to buy skills in the NBA Live part. Both parts are important in order to succeed.

Now this is just a developed idea. In order for it to become reality I will need to know if enough people are interested. It will take about 8-16 people, with more it could get a bit too big for me, but if someone's willing to help, it would be great, especially with the NBA Live part.

The management wouldn't be as difficult as it may seem, since the NBA part would possibly be simmed, playing it might result in favouring specific players and uneven playing times. One positive thing is that The Sims has an export to htm feature, I could upload the family infos for you to see and more easily manage. I also got a couple of editors for both Sims and NBA Live, so buying skills etc. would be more effective.

I also got a couple of more ideas to spice it up even more, like celebrity appearances and leaderboards.

Edit. For participants this wouldn't be too time consuming, the only tough part is when creating your character (posting info). If you don't tell me what you want to do during the next update, the character lives it's own life but still can earn points with it's actions. But the more active a player is, the more he will earn.

Yes, you will create your own characters, I will do the simulation of both life and NBA part. You will post what you would like your character to do during the next simulation (study, have fun, try to get in a fight etc.) and try to develop at the NBA stage as well.

*1 : Add the name you like for your character, you don't have to add your real name.
*2 : For height and weight, you can put cm/kg or feet/pounds whichever you like, I'll convert if necessary.
*3 : Additional info - Type any extra info you want me to give you here about your appearance, for example for Fenix to look like Tom Cruise j/k
*4 : I won't give any 90 ratings for starters. When this begins everyone has the same overall and the base ratings are the same, but the strengths and weaknesses are added. You will be able to increase your ratings later on.
*5 : If you have played The Sims, skip this. You will have 25 personality points to use, for example you can have 5 points to every category, but you can't have every rating full. Don't get too frustrated, I'll do some compromises if you haven't filled the ratings correctly. So in order to get the most out of this, your attributes should be 25 points when summed together.
*6 : I will give each one of you 5 points to start with. Use them wisely, since it will cost points to buy more later.
*7 : Any last notes here, about your room or Sims stuff. I will give more info about your room when the whole thing starts, now you will be able to choose only the colors etc.
