anyone here have or had girls as their bestfriend? i can't speak for a lot of people but i can speak for myself -- if you haven't had a girl as your bestfriend yet, don't try or bother. most of the time it won't work out and sure enough it didn't for me. i think ultimately, you'll end up catching feelings for her, and the sad thing is she probably won't feel the same way about you. i remember in high school i was really good friends with this girl and one day out of the blue she just gave me the cold shoulder and wouldn't talk to me, acted all bitchy etc. it turns out that some tool told her i had feelings for her when in fact i didn't even mention anything at all. the situation was taken care of, but ironically i did catch feelings for her. needless to say i didn't say anything about it (up until this day) and i'm glad i didn't.. funny thing is though we don't even talk anymore. it's not like we had a falling out, she just stopped calling. she always confided in me and i always thought there would be something that could develop but i guess i was wrong.
i have no idea why i made this post, i guess i was just venting. but yes, girls as bestfriends = a big no no.
feel free to share your stories -- agree, disagree with me, whatever.

I dont keep women as best friends. I tell them plain and simple i wanna date um while getting friendly to them. Most of the time it works..and i get it...but on the occasion it doesnt...i stop dealing with them. I let them contact me ..but i dont contact them and i dont make time for um. A girl aint my friend..unless she's layin in my bed.

At school, we have this "foursome" that includes me, my best friend, my best friend's girlfriend and her best friend.
And we're labeled as the foursome.
Me and my best friend are of course best friends and stuff. But he's girlfriend, I'm really, really good friends with her. I don't know why but I am, as well with her best friend. But I have feelings for her best friend and I hang out with my bestfriend's girlfriend too often that it seems like we're dating, but we just like to hang out.
So yeah um, I'm a pussy so it's okay for me to have a girl as a best friend
Wtf am i babbling about, hope it makes sense

I have a good friend who is a girl. We're not best friends, but we talk a whole lot and hang out at school. We don't talk outside of class though, although we have skipped school together (her, me, my best friend and a few others) on more than one occasion. Some people seem to think I "have it for her" , but really it's just a friendship thing.

hmm.. the common thing in almost all the previous posts has been highschool..
Everything is different on the outside world. All relationships and most friendships in highschool don't last once school stops.

My best friend is a girl, and I've never had any problem with it. In fact, none of the above problems have been a part of it.

Your mom doesn't count.

Two of my best friends are girls, but they do happen to be the longtime girlfriends of my two best mates (we've all been hanging out since high school) so it's a different kind of situation.

I had a woman as a best friend once... We went everywhere together, we organized expeditions in far-off mountains( even the Amazon, once, go figure...), we shared teh same birthday so we had our parties held together 3 years in a row. We were always together, it seems, and we had a lot of fun to boot. Nothing remotely erotic ever crossed our minds, at least not mine. But then , it all changed in a blur of alcohol.
She is now Mrs. D-Weaver.

I guess it depends on your personal experiences.

I use to have a girl who was my best friend but she moved to Michigan. Now, I really don't have many friends who are girls. I just don't have anything in common with high school girls. I don't really feel like talking about shoes, ipods and cellphones. Everything is materialistic.

Ooooh, burn.

i'm not in high school anymore, but yeah i find it hard to befriend a girl and have that awkward connection with them -- instead of talking on the phone and sharing personal stuff (before), i'd rather just joke around and tease them (now). it's weird, i might not have any close "girl buddies", but heck, i'm so much more happier now.

The only time girls as friends doesn't work is if you're an over sexed little deviot who can't keep it in your pants for more than 15 seconds and will most likely end up a balding fat man who stands in a park flashing young girls.
Sat Jan 14, 2006 11:17 am
why flash when you can dip your nuts in their mouths
na, i'm not saying having girls as friends is a bad thing because it's not, but having them as bestfriends though, i think that's a different story. the reason i fell hard for the girl i was bestfriends with was because she would listen, and i could share stuff with her that i might've had a hard time with sharing with my family or close friends. i guess i have a thing for girls that genuinely care instead of girls that are into gossip, trends, fads, materialistic things, whatever. looking back i think i wanted to be with her because everything seemed right when she was around. i just don't think i can be bestfriends with them anymore because it's impossible to not fall for them, and to not hurt yourself.

One of my best friends is a girl. We've known eachother since 6th grade and have gotten along since we met. Never had one problem with her. But, then again...I'm good with the ladies, even the ones I don't wanna bang!
