Wes back with Limp !

Tue Nov 23, 2004 12:14 am

Wes is returning to Limp and Ex-Snot frontman Mike Whatever is kicked out.....glad to see it happen, Wes was so big for Limp...he brings that unique flava, hopefully he'll get some sense into Fred and Limp will comeback with a awesome album, that resembling 3 Dollar Bill Yall $'s or Significant Other.

Go Wes Go :D
Hopefully it means a revival of the REAL Limp Bizkit, hmm they should get Chino to feat on a kick ass zombifying track !

Three years after he left the band, guitarist Wes Borland is back with Limp Bizkit and working on the group's next album.

Beginning Monday morning (August 16), visitors to the homepage of Limp Bizkit's official site were immediately

confronted by a photo collage showing Borland in a studio with his former bandmates. Under the images, the caption reads: "August Thirteenth Two Thousand and Four." Meanwhile, on Fred Durst's blog the frontman himself authenticates what had been rumored for the past month in a post dated Saturday that read, "Well, now the Limp Bizkit fans know about Wes. Pretty dope."

Limp Bizkit's label, Interscope Records, however, has yet to make an announcement about the lineup change.

Borland's return pushes his former replacement, Mike Smith, out of the lineup, a move about which Durst has no regrets. "We are very content with Mike being gone," Durst told the Limp Bizkit fan site, www.thearmpit.net, in an interview posted Sunday. "We are the type of people that stay true to our family and our instincts and at any moment will act on intuition as a whole. Mike wasn't the guy. We had fun playing with him but always knew, in the back of our minds, that he wasn't where we needed him to be mentally. On that note, you can assume that the sh-- we are writing now is f---ing powerful and very emotionally laced with reality."

When Smith joined Limp Bizkit in April 2003, Durst deemed their chemistry "dope." So dope, in fact, that he shelved the songs written since Borland's departure, some of which featured the guitar work of Ministry's Al Jourgensen, Weezer's Rivers Cuomo and Korn's Head, and began anew (see "Limp Bizkit Starts Over on New LP With Guitarist Mike Smith").

Borland had left the band in October 2001, burdened by the fear that he was selling out (see "Wes Borland: Why He Left Limp Bizkit").

As far as progress on Bizkit's follow-up to last year's Results May Vary, the band will not drop its fifth album in February, as Durst had previously announced. Rather, there's no telling when the songs, which he said had been written over the last couple of months, will see the light of day.

"Completion isn't on the radar," Durst said in the interview. "We do not work that way. We are being driven at mach speed by our passion, and any people or persons who cannot comprehend that will be left in the cold."

It also doesn't look like the band will be touring this year, as Durst had claimed three months ago (see "Limp Bizkit To Return To The Road With Summer Tour"). Instead, according to the interview, Limp Bizkit's tour plans have taken a back seat to the album's completion.

Limp Bizkit's greatest-hits album, which includes three new songs and was originally slated for release this year (see "Bizkit Best-Of Due Later This Year"), is now expected in 2005.

plus r u a rock or rap fan in the first place?

Tue Nov 23, 2004 2:56 pm

I dont think it matters what kind of music you like everyone dislikes Limp Bizkit.

and the reason is? .....

hmm strange how ppl just dislike bands....n specially listen to nonsense or like listen to like 10 rappers that sing the same thing....abt banging hoes n have the same kinda videos.....no offense to rap fans....but u get the stupid rock bands too....like HOOBASTINKFOREVER

anyway u can be a hater for all i Care, fact is this is supposed to be for Limp fans(therez alot too) so if u wanna post hater comments go to a hater site without spamming hater comments here :scold:

lol
well put there i guess
I was a fan of Limp a few years ago, and I dont dislike them or anything now, so I would say Wes coming back is great news for them

yeh even i Agree, limp sucked really bad in Less Is More, they sound terrible....but just cause MTV play one of their "OK" songs, I dont see why ppl hate em....n whats wrong with Fred Durst, hes a "jerk"??..hmm strange like ppl even personally know him. :?

anyway good news for Limp, Wes is a pure rocker n doesnt like mixing too much of rap n hip hop stuff....so hopefully he'll bring a better taste back, but they need to compile something with Chino(Deftones) n sum hard knock and really talented vocalists n make a big splash this time, without putting stinking Halle Berry in their videos n singing The Who cover ups :x

good luck Limp, Tongue Of Colicab rules :D

I hate Limp Bizkit.

Their music sucks, and that chump Durst tries to do something that resembles rapping but is so bad at it it's unbearable. Which is the reason I dislike Linkin Park.

People jack my rap threads, I jack peoples rock threads.

errr yeh but I didnt jack up your rap thread, k k watever u say...at least the Limp fans in here got the news so I sit happy

but u do know that besides Eminem n Dr.Dre every rapper out there likes Limp(well at least Wu-Tang Clan and the Ruff Ryder Crew n Snoop Doggity Dogg) :D

Tue Nov 23, 2004 4:37 pm

...good for them. Other than DMX and Jada I don't like RR, Snoop Dogg hasn't been good since Doggystyle, but I love Wu-Tang. And whatever they listen to isn't going to influence my musical taste anyways. And that isn't 'every' rapper anyway.

Fair enough (Y)

I'm not really a big fan of Limp Bizkit anymore. Used to be, but they've just been lost in the crowd for a while now. Hopefully they can come out with something good now that Wes is back.

Tue Nov 23, 2004 5:38 pm

I used to love Limp Bizkit when i was 13-14, but i've grown out of it now.

I still like their sound, I like what Wes creates... i just can't stand Fred Durst anymore though. Sings about shit. I'm sick of all their "Yo!" "Mother fffffucker!" "Give it up!"'s, they annoy me.

yeh I know, they really sound stupid n old when they do that..I mean their 30's except Sam...time to become more pro-rockers, start playing heavier stuff with good riffs n twisted but weird n sick lyrics ala Deftones :P

I just hope they dont go stupid like Korn have, cause Korn r totally shit now with their new stuff....a Word Up cover...wtf when did Korn do stupid shitty old techno rap songs.....they gotta stick to playing stuff like Falling Away From Me....good luck to Limp again n Im just hoping Fred goes back to some sensible mode n doesnt become the male equivalent of Britney Spears or Avril Lavigne etc, aka POSERS....cmon Fred u got talent in ya use it smartly n not waste time creating shitty albums....cause I could kick Fred Durst's ass lyrically with the stuff hes writing these days.

When I saw the title I thought the NLSC Limp (http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/~nbalive/phpBB2/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=395 was involved

Thu Nov 25, 2004 10:24 am

haha i thought the same thing. why would someone want to make a thread about me...

limp bizkit may not be that popular but fred durst nailed britney spears and you can't take that away from him

Thu Nov 25, 2004 1:52 pm

I won't believe he did that until I see video evidence to support it.

Thu Nov 25, 2004 1:54 pm

jae, if you should accidentally see that durst/britney video, don't forget to accidentally mail it to me

Thu Nov 25, 2004 2:26 pm

I think Fred Durst would've had to accidentely sleep with Britney in order for the video to accidentely exist. I accidentely don't think it happened, accidentely.

Thu Nov 25, 2004 2:29 pm

Im not sure abt that either, but im leanin towards Fred...cause if Britney is so stupid to go to Las Vegas n get married to some jock n start smokin n kiss fat men in her videos she'd obviously be capable of getting screwed by one of the most wanted men on the planet.

I thougt it was strange that you've been making posts silly enough for me to have something to say about you.

Thu Nov 25, 2004 3:51 pm

i don't think it was silly....damn near every woman i talk to thinks fred durst is 'hott as hell' even if they don't like his music
