Official Madden 2005 Thread

Has anybody got the game yet? And if so, what did you think of it? I'll post my impressions when I get the game, lol.

yea i got the game, and i find it very hard to stop the pass, and to complete a pass

I'm buying it next week.

I hope it's good. I plan on buying it in about 2 weeks. I can wait, until Live.

Hard to pass? Ive been hearing the exact opposite from other people. They say passing is too easy, and running is way too hard....hmmmm

And Im getting mine this Saturday

Thursday it comes in by me.

Is it just me, or is John Madden a REALLY dumb guy in real life...? He tells you obvious things, and seems to have a fetish with that telestrator... That's probably why Pat Summerall quit...

Damn, I don't know how EA can make up new stuff for the game... They've almost run out of things to put in the game. ESPN will never beat Madden.

rushing is much easier, but ive gotten the hang of the passing game, but its still pretty hard, u really have to work that pressure sensitive shit, or the DB will bat down your pass


the franchise mode is great, there are so many things for u to explore in it


1 thing that pisses me off is the mini camp, the rushing attack has gotten harder and i cant get the break tackles card 75%

overall the game is a 10, i dont know how espn got a 10, but madden is a 10, for sure

they also have a NBA Live 2005 preview in the game, but its the preview that has a real small screen, im sure u guys have seen it before

Fellow guys from FF says that rushing got easier , passing got harder. Where did you hear it Kenyon ?

Oh man I hear alot of things. People just have different opinions on whats hard and not....

Most everybody says its better than NCAA, but still a couple of people like NCAA better. If you think it was a big dissapointment, you'll probably like Madden much better than.

Go Trade in NCAA for Madden at GameStop...

Good idea because when I went if you trade in NCAA you get Madden for 19.99

Yeah I got NCAA and its ok, but it gets boring after a little bit...

I have both Madden & NCAA '05. Both are way better than last year's versions. EA finally woke up and fixed Madden's lack of defense. I love the new defensive audibles.

Same here. It seems a hella lot different than 2004 imo. The hit stick rules though. And I like the new graphics. It just seems that the players are too ripped imo, but it still looks good.

u guys have got to be kidding me. that game was so bad that i only played it once and returned it to blockbuster. I rented ESPN football and immediately went out and bought it, it's waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than madden in just about ever category. The gameplay, graphics, halftime show, post game show etc. just stomps all over madden. And for you that are obsessed about franchise and realism, answer me this: I played on rookie level on both madden and espn with the exact same teams and by the end of the half on espn the score was 14 to 7, i was up, and in madden it was 72 to 0 at half and i had over 300 rushing yards in the first half, oh yeah that's realistic to me hahahahhahaha. Maybe if madden spent more time on the grapics and less time making up stupid new features like "create a fan" they might actually win the battle with sega, But once again Sega wins. I actually liked madden better than sega last year by the way, but it's no comparison this year, once you play espn, you'll never want to play madden again, it looks and plays like junk!
