I've never seen Family Guy, but The Simpsons is one of my all-time favourites, so my bias leads me to vote for "Our Favourite Family".

i've seen a few episodes of family guy and tons of simpson's ones. hard to compare though. they're almost equally good. they have their own brand of humor in a sense. but im gonna go with the simpsons on this one, probably the older episodes though.

most people who replied already said they didnt even know Family Guy but they think nothing is better than the Simpsons, so IMO you can only vote if you know both of em :wink:

I meant for people who have already seen Family Guy; the humor is hard to differentaite; Family Guy is more of a "flashback comedy", and The Simpsons is just general comedy; that's why it is tough to pick a winner.

I think the Simpsons have less awsome jokes in the matter of quantity.
Family Guy is realy funny almost every eppisode all the time. While the Simpsons is only funny like that from time to time.

The thing is that I think they have to have rather much morale and such stuff in their eppisodes. Most watched cartoon ever and probeblly most watched by children should have some level of education value to it. While Family Guy can act more on whatever they feel like. They won't get 10 000 hatemails for a realy bad episode, more like 100.

ps. I recomend looking at an eppisode caled "When you wish uppon a Weinstein" (Not to sure of the spelling) of Family Guy. It was baned from TV, not to sure for what, maybe it was that it was a little racial agains the Jews and Irish.

It probably can be found on the DVD set...do you know if it was in the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd season?

The topic I interpreted as strictly which is FUNNIER, and so, I'm going to have to vote for Family Guy, even though the Simpsons overall is a better show, a timeless classic, and one of my all-time favorite shows. But Family Guy has its moments a bit more often, and when it does have its moments, it's overwhelmingly hilarious (ok, just sounded like a nerd there, didn't I).

And I don't wanna start a flame war or anything, but why vote when you haven't even seen an episode of Family Guy?

That's a fair question. I guess loyalty to The Simpsons, as well as the tidbits I've heard about Family Guy. I enjoy the humour of the Simpsons and knowing there's a difference between the two shows, I assume I wouldn't enjoy Family Guy as much.

Family guy has humor; but it's a different kind of humor than The Simpsons...it's more of a flashback type; The Simpsons has more joke-ish humor; both are good shows...Please tell me why I created this poll... :crazyeyes:

Family Guy by a long shot, in the Simpsons best episodes I'll laugh as much as in the worst Family Guy episode. I have both DVD sets and I've seen each episode 5+ times. mY favourite has to be the one where Peter tries to get out of paying a doctor bill by filling out on the form he is dead. Then death comes to his house to take him and ends up spraining his ankle and spending time at Peter's house.
Death: What is this cocoa made of? Crap?
Lois: If you want me to make it again-
Death: Wait I'm sorry Lois, it's my fault. I just assumed you were going to make it with milk, not CRAP!

Or when Joe competes at the Special Peoples Games. The newsreporters annoucne it and during teh opening ceremony the guy says "Still no sing of the deaf team." And it flashes to the deaf team's room where they're all sleeping with alarms going off and people pounding on the door saying "You're going to be late."

If you've never seen it before get a few episodes off Kazaa or something then buy the DVD set since it's amazing.

Family guy, ive seen a few episodes.
It seems like it has the same type of homour, but the family guy aint been goin for nowwhere near as long the simpsons.

No character is better than Homer Simpson

I believe it's called "Death Is A Bitch"...Norm McDonald is perfect as Death btw...(The 1st one you mentioned anyway, I dunno 'bout the 2nd)
