You want real NBA simulation?? ESPN 2k5 will give it! update

Hey guys here are the few updates re: ESPN 2k5

1. As ive told u always and later proved by the recent preview by TEAMBOX that ESPN 2k5 is going to rock basketball gamers and get the NBA crown over LIVE. The guy who posted that LIVe 05 will be better is out of his mind. As of now, have we seen any footage fr. live 05?? nah! But VC managed to produced sample clips and we're able to see the awesome graphics presented by the new triple pass rendering technology applied by VC so it's like watching real nba players unlike the cartoonist type of nba live.

2. That's VC first priority, GRAPHICS and now accdg. to my cousin they are now working on the gameplay and fixing all the glitches that we encountered on 2k4.

3. It is going to be like OVERHAULING YOUR CAR and the result will be a top class car loaded with nitros and new engines.

4. The new commentary courtesy of BILL WALTON is going to cope up with LIVE's top commentators. The lines will not be scripted like 2k4.

5. Player's rating and movement will be based on their actual stats and the movements will be more realistic. You won't see SHAQ doing cross-overs.

6. Each home team will have their unique intros during the finals. The playoffs and finals logo will now be included.

7. There will be big highlights and replays during half-time like in some soccer video games plus the sidelights of TAFOYA.

8. We are going to see players warming up before the opening toss.

9. THERE WILL BE MANY NEW DUNK AND LAY-UP MOVES so those nasty dunks from 2k4 will soon be over.

10. We're going to see new videos by JULY showing better improvements on the gameplay.

11. There will be a surprise addition in the ALL-STAR WEEKEND!!

12. RELEASE DATE WILL BE ON OCT. 5 or few days after the mentioned TARGET DAY..

13. MY cousin won't disclosed any matters re: FRANCHISE & 24/7 modes but he assured me that it will be very DEEP..

MJ is the greatest NBA player and the BULLS-JAZZ ERA is the most awesome NBA FINALS i've seen. LAKERS-CELTICS is only second.

I dunno, I'll wait and see. I'll rent both but ESPN's NBA games have a history of crappy graphics in comparison to NBA Live and gameplay that's not significantly better.

You're hilarious. Bill Walton compared to da czar and Marv Albert? Oh God, I can't stop laughing!!! But then again, you don't seem like you really care about commentary if you consider Bill Walton anywhere near Czar and Marv Albert. Anyone who has heard the master of exaggeration should know that. and you espn people need to go away... Most of the people here are PC players and espn is not on pc so you can't convert us...

I had Live 2004 and ESPN NBA 2k4 and to me there was no contest, ESPN killed Live. The gameplay is much more realistic and the graphics/modes are also superior to Live, but I can't make my pick this year till the 2k5 games come out.

They take graphics over gameplay?

The videos I've seen just look wierd to me. I saw the Kings and Lakers jerseys shining pink, and maybe it's just me being used to Live but their player models look weird for some reason, like the have no neck or their shoulders are too broad or something..

That was the first video that the developers released. Don't be so gullible to think that those problems won't be rectified by the game's release.

Now im a huge EPSN person but last years version was horrendous, Isomotion should have been called Isochargin'. Hopefully that is really worked out. I am stil skeptical but since it'll only be $20 i'll buy it regardless. I mean damn If a Nelly CD cost 21 dollars and nelly is the worst rpper alive, I'd pay 20 for a good ball game.

ESPN is copyin all the ideas from EA Sports...I mean dynasty mode was started from them..now they decided to add all-star weekend..

I am a huge Live fan, and will probably always chose Live over ESPN until ESPN changes their whole gameplay feel... But I'm still able to admit that ESPN has awesome graphics. Maybe the graphics don't look too pretty in screens, but if you've ever played ESPN on an XBox on TV, whoa, amazing... I hate how certain Live fans can never admit that ESPN did anything right. But I guess it goes both ways, there are ignorant fans of both games.

Im sorry ESPN's graphics are better. With that said NBA Live has smashed ESPN in gameplay every year since 2K2. Im liking some of ESPN's newest features but its obvious they are bitting everything NBA Live does from Freestyle to the Prop Hop.

Those ESPN videos you saw are all being played on rookie mode. Yao won't be doing any crossovers on higher difficulty.

Reasons for Yao Ming and Shaq dribbling it down court:

- It was on Rookie difficulty mode

- The Heat-Lakers game was played by two people who didn't know shit about basketball. Basketball games are meant to be played a certain way. Why complain about Yao Ming and Shaq doing crossovers and shooting fadeaways when you're the one contolling them?

Yea I know, like I've said before, I never trust IGN reviews on sports games, some people put so much faith in these reviews, but these guys for one don't play the game long enough, and they don't even look like they know how to play basketball

Basketball sims are only as realistic as you want them to be. No matter how realistic the gameplay and AI, the way the user players always influences the game. Seasoned video game players will always find a way to exploit an element of the game.
