Official Madden Discussion Thread

Anybody got Madden 08 for the PSP? I'm thinking of getting it, so I want to know the perspective from a person who actually plays it often, rather than some reviewer who reviews it for a minute and places the UMD back to review bin.

A couple of questions though (bear with me... last time I played Madden was Madden 05):

1. Are the rosters editable? Especially the ability to create new players. Only sports title I've played for my PSP is NBA 08 and it allows NONE of that... totally retarded.

2. Can you create a team? That was an awesome feature..

3. Is there any way possible to download rosters off the net and update it on the PSP?

Anybody got their thoughts on Madden 08 for current-gen? I'm thinking of getting it.

I played Madden NFL 2001 a few days ago-I still suck at it. I mean, I can blow out teams at All-Pro but then get wiped out on All-Madden because I can't defend the pass properly

why do any player dont age in franchise mode
i think this happens when u go to edit player
for example i drafted a rookie in the 1st round
second overall. his age was 21 and rating is 82.
now when i go to change his gear his age goes to
26 then when i finished his rookie year his stats was
27td 8int 3763yds and like a 100 something rating. the next season
his rating stays the same 82 .then the next 5 seasons
im putting up great numbers and his ratings stays the same
and plus when i click the right stick to check the year he was drafted
it said undrafted . i am really pissed off on this glitch
i rather play current gen franchise than the glithed next gen one

have this problem to anybody besides me

MADDEN 08 SUKS

Haven't bought a Madden since 2005 where I got both.

BUt still play 2001, getting better on All-Madden.

But yesterday, I lost 55-17 after being 31-3 down midway through the second. First play of the game is a pass dropped which is caught on the way down for a pick and a TD. Kick-off, the return guy fumbles it, defence recovers, then they lob a pass over my leaky defence. Down 14-0 after 40 seconds. I drive down to the end zone, where twice my players drop open passes and I turn it over on a fourth down. I intercept the ball and once again, nothing so I kick a FG.

Second quarter, I get intercepted again off a dropped pass, they drive it home. Still blame my terrible pass coverage (or inability to cut off passes even with a double-team on receivers.)

They should change the title to Glitchball 2009 instead of Madden 2009. If they cant even put a referee in
a game thats sad. Its a zebra for crying out loud.Any why players dont have towels hanging from there jersey.Like the QB towel

madden 2006, the graphics were a let down compared to the comercial. NO FRANCHISE MODE(OR ANY OTHER MODE)good sountrack.bad commentary

madden 2007, graphics better than 2006, Franchise mode sucked,cant edit player,gamplay slow, music was good,bad commentary, horrile menu interface i mean horrible it was that awful,mini camp good.

madden 2008,beter graphics,smother gameplay but horrible catching.franchise sucked, long loading times, online lame,
espn nice,but i have cable. how about adding espn in the franchise mode.drop passes,the soundtrack was the worse one

I've moved on to the 360, so that doesn't affect me, but i had madden 2000-2008 all on the pc.

You just found that out? That's been known for weeks. The cancellation of NBA Live was announced shortly after.

EA is the most epic company ever. Apparently there are no sliders for the CPU AI in Madden and NCAA Football 09.
