That's not true. You can download updates, both game and roster updates, with a silver account. The only thing you can't do on a silver is play actual games against other people on certain games. There are certain games, like Halo and gears of war, which have playlists and match types that silver members can play online in.

That's what I thought too, it's cool, because I won't be able to get a gold account before a while. Thanks!
