Other video games, TV shows, movies, general chit-chat...this is an all-purpose off-topic board where you can talk about anything that doesn't have its own dedicated section.

Anyways, some new stuff.

Photo I took in Seattle.
What? That's no rapper.
Kidding. Sweet photo, the way the colour changes from pink to blue in the upper left looks really nice and the manipulation is great.
About the Nas wall, his face looks grainy or sweaty as hell. It's kinda cool how hes glowing somewhat as more of the focal point goes to him, my eyes were kinda forced to look at that. I like the text idea but I'd like it more if it was another font along those lines (Simple)
Nice work like always.

There was no real manipulation on the photo. What it is is a picture of the Space Needle in the reflection of the EMP building (
EMP website). As for PS work, there is nothing significant. Some minor burn/dodge work on the Space Needle, and then a brightness/contrast adjustment layer.

Ah okay. Heh, it's still really cool.

I'm a ghost. A shapeshifter of sorts. I appear from time to time when the mood strikes me. When I've exhausted other forums, worn out my thumbs from playing Madden, emptied my creative bucket into photoshop, grown weary of staring at a television screen, and (right now) tired of all my friends in the dorm I live in having to "study" since I'm done. Then, I strike. And now I post.

Glad you actually cared to post here. It's nice to see old members come back. As you can see the PS section is pretty much dead without your (and that of many other members no longer active) collaboration.
About the wallpaper: it's nicely done, I like the effects even though it's a little too "glowy" for my taste. May I ask how you obtained the background? I've been trying for weeks now to get stuff like that without success.
On a side note I'm glad to say that is the best text I've seen on these forums in a long time. I like how you placed part of it above the photograph layer.

Background is pretty simple. Just a gradient and then take a bunch of different colours and brush on top. Change the opacity, the size, etc. and get things nicely blended. It's all about balancing the colours and placing high contrast colours in the right spots.
And thanks for the kind words.

Nice job as always Colin.
Out of curiosity, what are you studying at uni? Anything in graphic design?
