PAL vs. NTSC

What are the differences in these to formats? Are there any noticable differences between them? Anyone know? Thanks.

I guess the most significant difference is the voltage (PAL=240 volts, NTSC=110 volts).

The # of lines is also different between PAL and NTSC. I forgot the exact values but I know PAL has a few dozen more.

PAL: 625 lines (576 visible), 25 frames/sec
NTSC: 525 lines (480 visible), 30 frames/sec
