Counterpart.
Some announcements, meaning the impossibly large field is unfortunately not shrinking.
Gingrich Tiptoes Toward a White House Bid
Newt Gingrich, former speaker of the House, may be edging closer to a run for president, with supporters planning to announce Monday that he is starting a Web site to raise money and that they will begin a “feasibility assessment” of his chances.
Mr. Gingrich, the former speaker of the House, has said that if he can raise $30 million by Oct. 21, he will join the race.
Gingrich is more or less everything Republicans stupidly thought they were getting from Thompson.
Keyes Makes 3rd Bid for Presidency Alan Keyes, a Republican whose two previous runs for president ended in failure, is making a third try for the White House.
The Maryland conservative announced on his Web site that he filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission on Friday to make his candidacy official. He joins a crowded Republican field of nine candidates and is scheduled to participate Monday night at a debate involving lesser-known candidates in Florida.
Keyes, a former State Department official under President Reagan, made unsuccessful presidential runs in 1996 and 2000. He also has been a Senate candidate from Maryland, and, in 2004, he suffered a 43-percentage point loss to Democrat Barack Obama in the Senate race in Illinois. Republicans drafted Keyes after primary winner Jack Ryan dropped out amid a scandal.
In an interview with radio talk show host Janet Parshall, Keyes noted the wide-open nature of the GOP race. "There isn't a standout," Keyes said. "I'm like a lot of folks, who have just looked at it and been unmoved."
There is nothing really to say about Alan Keyes at this point. Everytime he's in the race, I think everyone wishes it was J.C. Watts instead.

The Republican Party's new logo:
Looks like that angry elephant's gonna kill a lot of people. Heh, I guess it does reflect the current trend with terrorism and the war in Iraq

Mitt Romney:
Danny Ainge - $2,300

Back in 2006, Karl Malone gave $5,000 to Romney's Commonwealth PAC

Can't it be both?
But seriously, it's pretty fucking bad. Huckabee lacks the cred to pull that off.

if you vote republican you hate america. there i said it

Despite its Mike Huckabee's and Mitt Romney's, it is the far superior of the two parties. They at least only want to expand government slowly in some areas most of the time. Authoritarianism-lite with some moderate economic liberals, instead of the full-blown Authoritarianism/Fascism of the Democratic party.
Huckabee's basically a Christian Democrat.

My mom has got me into a bunch of Ron Paul hype, and from what I've seen/heard about him he is the best candidate so far. I just want to spread the word.
Vote for Ron Paul
He wants to legalize drugs
Commercial showing his main points

Well, I think all true liberals love Ron Paul. Although, I am a liberal interventionalist, not a liberal isolationist.
Thus, why, I am able to realize Paul not only can't win the nomination, but can't win the Presidency, or even govern if he did win. He's like Goldwater. "In your heart you know he's right."
He is my second choice out of all the Republicans however. I think everyone rational would rather lose with Paul, than lose with Romney.
Disclosure: Rudy ftw. (
He will protect us.)

ok ok ok, i will rephrase it,
if you voted for george bush you hate america
there, that is better
Wed Nov 21, 2007 6:20 am
For George W. Bush, or George H. W. Bush?
Because in 2004, the alternative was John F. Kerry...
Wed Nov 21, 2007 8:39 am
well, i will agree that we were fucked either way last election
Fri Nov 23, 2007 4:30 am
Dear God, someday all the stoners will unite and vote for the candidate that will legalize drugs over all other issues.

Globalization is good for the economy, the worlds and America's. Sure, we have exported lots of jobs overseas but they are mostly the undesirable jobs. We have more jobs here now than ever before and most of them are better jobs than the ones we are exporting.

Globalization is only good if you are not someone who thinks economics are "zero sum". The people who believe all the wealth that exists today was here back in 1750, think globalization is bad.
EDIT: Just saw this today, this Club for Growth's analysis of the various candidates and how much they like economic freedom:

This is Ron Paul's, but you can click onto the others on the right side.
