Indoctrination/"Treatment" at U of Delaware?

Residential assistants charged with imposing the "treatments" have undergone intensive training from the university. The training makes clear that white people are to be considered racists - at least those who have not yet undergone training and confessed their racism. The RAs have been taught that a "racist is one who is both privileged and socialized on the basis of race by a white supremacist (racist) system. The term applies to all white people (i.e., people of European descent) living in the United States, regardless of class, gender, religion, culture, or sexuality."

Yikes, sounds Orwellian. I would hate to know what would happen to the student who had to reveal their most ethnist and hatred thoughts.

Well this is different to what I had to do as an RA. I just worried about my floors welfare, made sure everyone was relatively happy, no drugs were used inside the hall and the drunk kids got home alright.

If this 'treatment' was required when I was an RA, I would have laughed at them. What a joke. RA's a there to act as mentors, not to perform psychological analysis and aggressively educate others. We did put forth environmental policies though, which we agreed upon and got student support. These policies were focussed on minimising water usage (as Australia's in a long drought, and Melbourne's water supplies are very very low) and providing environmentally friendly dishwashing detergent to students to use in the kitchens.
