I'm having some problems with my new wireless internet. We are using AT&T wireless with Super-G technology which is supposed to boost the signal radius. When it's working, it works great and fast. The problem is that it disconnects like every hour or two and reconnects after a few moments or few minutes later. Even the computers that are close to the router have frequent disconnection problems.
Anyone have any tips or suggestions?

call at&t about it...they'd know the most on issues with their service

Why not at least try to switch those computers that are close to the router to wired temporarily just to see if it makes a difference, if not then call at&t. They'll probably tell you to check the routers lights the next time your internet is out. I had the same problem, when it worked it worked fine, but half the time it didn't work at all. I called Shaw they sent a person over and it ended up being the underground cable that ran to the house. Luckily our neighborhood power box thingy was just behind us and he ran a new temporary line to our house.

That's what I think it is, because the cable tv goes out at about the same time the internet does, and they didn't fix the phone line that they temporarily disabled during the installation. Thanks for the reply, I'll bring that up with them.
EDIT - Technician came by, it seems to be all fixed. There was a faulty component in the box outside the house, and he had to go up a telephone pole to stop some pausing during cable broadcasts. Internet is going pretty smooth right now.
EDIT 2 - Ironic. As soon as I post it's ok, I get another disconnection.

yeah it's weird. i lose connection and am forced to reset my router (aka unplug and replug) every few hours or so. it never used to do that before. how do i fix it?

I'm having the same problem as of late. I've heard that it could have something to do with having 2.4ghz cordless phones in your house. The thing is, I've had the phones for years and this just started happening very recently. The advice that I've been given is to try changing the channel on the router to either 1, 6, or 11. Or try upgrading your router's firmware. Or if you have 2.4ghz phones, try unplugging them for a while and see if it makes a difference. Some people have had to toss their phones in the garbage and get the 5.8's.
With all that said, I've tried everything and still can't solve my problem

Well, yesterday, I decided to try something different and ended messing it up. The Cable was still working, but my wireless connection was stuck on "acquiring network address." It also get's stuck on that if I disable and then enable the connection. I would have to restart my computer to get it to connect. But even that didn't work, so I reset the router and it's working again. God knows for how long, though.
I was told that any electronic equipment and brick walls can screw with the signal, and you want your wireless antenna as high as it can be. That's funny, considering most wireless cards are in the computer. The 2wire wireless adapter they supplied us with is USB, so I have it plugged into the USB extensions on my monitor(those are coming in very handy) and it has a clip on it so I have it hanging on my window blind.
I might have to call them again, just because I notice the same crap that has been happening, even after they "fixed it." There is definitely something wrong, because the "Local Ethernet" light on the router flashes. I would assume it's supposed to be solid, like most of the other lights, except the wireless/HomePNA lights.
Sometimes, I see other networks in my wireless connection settings. I wonder if that would cause a problem. I think it's from the other modem I was using before, because it is turned off at the moment, and now that network isn't showing up.
Right now my wireless connection shows the signal is at low, and the mbps is at 1.
Edit - Our phone line is down again. It was working for one day.
