Screwed hard-drive

Right, so I managed to fuck up my hard drive while installing a game, but I don't know how I did it.
Basically, I was looking to install Live 07 which I finally got from a family friend, but while it installs, BOOM! My H drive disappears. I was eating breakfast when it started and the drive seemed to have disappeared halfway through the installation. What do I do? System Restore doesn't do anything, I don't think.

what do you mean by disappeared?
is it all connected properly, no cords fallen out?

That doesn't really make sense...unless he gave you a virus. Is it an original copy of NBA live?

Ehh, disappeared? The installation stopped and your drive disappeared from Windows?

Yeah, so I found out that my thing disconnected and it reappeared once I restarted. Silly me. Sorry for wasting your time, I can finally re-install Live 07 and see what's the fuss about SUM
