Prom Suit

Postby Cloudy on Fri Mar 09, 2007 11:25 pm

Prom is coming and I'm having a little trouble. I have never gotten a suit for myself and I need some tips and advice from you experienced guys..

I probably won't get it tailor-made, but get those ready-to-fit ones.. What are the standards and how is it suppose to look? What is the trend now? 2 Buttons or 3 buttons? Loose fit or tight fit...

Thanks in advance.

When I was in high school, whenever I went to a prom, I just rented a tux and brought it back the next day.

Make sure you match your date's dress color with something.

Renting a tux is much easier. Probably costs less than gettin one tailor-made.

you can match your date's dress easily, either by a flower, bow tie, tie or colour of the suit or vest coast (depending on what you go)....just rent a tux or suit, but individualize it to show your personality off....

I'm not a huge fan of tuxedo's, I prefer suits....

I wear suits very often due to my line of work, but is always good to have a spin....I've got a business suit with very faint pinstripes (not the drastic ones that are an eyesore)....you can dress it up & down....for the wedding I'm going to in a few weeks, I'm going to wear it, but turn it more Mafia-esque but wearing a black shirt & a silver tie (Y)

either way, happy hunting (Y)

We don't really wear tuxedos here... I came to this shop which has pretty nice suits, they have some ready-to-wear and also they hv tailor service..
I tried those ready-made ones and those guys keep saying that it looks good already, but I just don't feel confident... Like they're just trying to sell that suit..

Anyways, thanks for the tips guys

Look who won Prom King last year then get in contact with him so you can get his connections for the suit.
