2006 was quite a good and quite rare year for me. It was a good sports year with the WCOB, Commonwealth Games, Eagles winning the AFL Premiership YEAH!!!!! lol. But i had a few personal events occur, my oldest brother got married in February and my Uncle and Aunty came over from England who i hadnt seen in a while, was a fun month.

I turned 16 in May and after that things started getting interesting. I hadnt been playing basketball for a while and then some friends and I made a team and we got flogged for around 5 games straight and then went on like a 17 or 18 game winning streak and we won the title. I made the state basketball team which was quite an experience where in one game our team faced a 6-9 giant who absolutely destroyed our center and our whole team. I even remember him posterising like 3 guys, i played off the bench mostly until i got given the start after about 6 games in where I averaged around 19ppg near the end of the season and i became the 2nd option on the team.

It was a big year for girls for me lol. I had 3 girlfriends, but i remain single now as I cant be bothered with the whole boyfriend and girlfriend shit atm. I kind of got caught up in a small love triangle lol where i liked one girl and she liked me while this other girl also liked me. I ended up going out with the girl i liked but it didnt last too long but it was good while it lasted , i had two more one of them lasted about 4 months and the other lasted around 2, so i worked pretty fast lol.

So i had a strange year, nothing really bad happened so it was quite good. :)

You know the ladies like men with stamina, working quick may not always be the best option.

hmm, I was indifferent to this last year... there were some cool parts, some not so much.

this doesn't really count, but in Dec 05, I went to a Kanye West concert which was fucking amazing.. seeing Chali 2na (Jurassic 5) there was cool too.

in January, on the MLK weekend, I went up to Lake Tahoe and saw snow for the first time ever. Went snowboarding for two days... the first was hell because it was so cold & windy and it was coming down hard.

March: was the last time I've been home home before I went back a few days ago for Thanksgiving. 8 months? yeah that shows I'm not close with my family and there's really nothing for me back there. sad.

June: reality check. I had done poorly in some math classes earlier in the year, but in "basic" statistics, I just failed. with an F. had I got a D, I wold've taken it just to pass (as I did with a D in calculus). made me realize I can't keep wasting my time at school and was a good kick in the ass to try to work harder at school.
then started a crazy 3-4 months at work where we were (and still are) short-staffed. Working my ass off doing the jobs of three people at once... a few months of that and I was at my breaking point. oh and I applied to become a board member of the Filipino club i'm in at school (I know, you guys are thinking wtf you're an idiot. but I've met some pretty cool Filipinos here [and whitewashed American ones, which are a tad bit different than the ones here]). I didn't get it. and my mom, after hyping this European trip for a month, called it all off and I was really frustrated by that. I was so pissed at the time, I threw my phone on the floor of my apartment (a few buttons messed up, but it's still working) and then wound up punching a hole in the wall. yeah not a good time for me.

July: after a few weeks off of school, I decided to take 2 classes in the summer (which isn't the norm. people here like their summer vacations). with only 2 easy classes as opposed to 4 time-consuming classes, I could focus a little easier on them. I wound up getting an A- in the Photoshop i took and an A in a race & representation class I took. After a year of hell from my roommate & his fat ass psycho gf, he finally moves out. of course, not paying the rent after me and my other roommate tell him to. what a douche. and with the summer comes more free time, which I used to try to get bigger. I hit the gym like 4-5 times a week and started eating more. between practicing my bball and lifting weights, I found it to be a good thing to do. I wound up gaining 3-4 lbs, but lost it all when I eventually stopped going once school started up full time again. I was so fed up with my working conditions I decided to make my case, and demand a raise or quit. I was making $8.25/hr which is pretty close to minimum wage AND my starting pay a year ago. since I am one of the more experienced employees there, I felt it was fair to as for $10/hr. and I got it. that was awesome.

August: work, gym.
September: frustrated by the search for a new roommate, I decided to wait until the winter quarter to find one. I'm paying $1000 a month for rent, which is killing me right now so I gotta find one in the next month or so. School comes back and I go full-time, so I ask for less hours at work and try to dig into my school work. I signed up for this advanced drawing class with this cool teacher I had for intermediate drawing, but on the second day, she didn't show up and they replaced her with someone else. I dropped out of that class, and lost interest in most of my other classes as well.
October: yeah I started getting into gambling again last month. lost some money at the casino. yeah I don't like losing.

looking into 2007, though, as with every year, I hope it's better than the last. Looking forward to a snowboarding trip with coworkers in January, as well as taking the advanced drawing class I dropped out of this quarter, and keeping up in my classes.
hope your new years are good to you guys.

My main highlight of 2006 was getting rid of my pimples.
