Well, if your going to make the sig for the NLSC, you can't use all 50 pictures, the filesize needs to be under 50 kb. Depending on the size of the sig you want and the complexity of the animation, you may have to cut alot of corners. My sig is an animated gif, I had to cut many frames out just to get it within the filesize restrictions for the NLSC.
In Photoshop, take the first image you want to use as the beginning of the animation and paste all the other images on it, they should become layers. You don't have to do it in order, they can be out of sequence and you can fix it in ImageReady. Once you have all the layers, click "File->Edit in ImageReady." You can also just do this in ImageReady so you don't have both programs open.
ImageReady will open the file with layers intact and at the bottom will be the Animation window, you will see it only has one frame. There is a small icon at the bottom of the Animation window. It is right next to a delete icon. Move your mouse cursor over the icons and a tooltip should pop up identifying the icon. Click it to duplicate the frame. Once you have about 3 or four frames, you can select them all by clicking the first frame, and holding shift and clicking the last frame, and it will duplicate all of the frames, that way you don't have to click the icon so much. Once you feel youhave enough frames for your animation, you will need to edit each one.
Click on the next(second) frame and go to the layers window. Unhide the current layer that is displayed, then click on the layer that you want displayed. Select a different picture to display for each frame, then press play at the bottom of the animation window and it will preview the animation for you. You can change the time interval for each frames, which is how long it waits until the next frame is displayed. At the bottom of each frame there should be a number followed by a "sec" indicating seconds. If you click this, a small menu will pop up and you can select another value, or click other and enter your own value. You can edit this globally for all frames by clicking the first frame, scrolling to the last frame, holding shift and clicking the last frame.
Preview your animation by pressing the play button at the bottom of the animation window. To save it as a animated gif, click "File->Save Optimized as".
If you need to reduce the filesize of the final gif, you can delete frames, or resize the image and make it smaller.
