Doobie and J.23's 2k7 duels.

Well tonight it the first night of many sleepless nights for me and my associate j.23 . we had a thread like this for 2k6, and now a fresh one for 2k7.

Okay finally an update. Well anyways me and J.23 just finshed playing 2 games right, and we split it 1-1. Both games were excellent and we are going to play maybe 2 more tonight.

Game 1 - Lakers(me) vs. Cavaliers (J.23)
I forgot to write down the score but it was a nail biter. Basically through out the entire game Kobe and Lebron were going at it back and forth, but Kobe started getting in foul trouble. Anyways, let me fast foward to the 4th quarter. Late in the fourth quarter, Kobe's playing with 5 fouls and well under a minute left. I was down by 6 I believe and I know that god loves miracles. Pass the ball to Kobe, a 4 point play!!! Believe it or not this was with like 45 seconds left! So anyways I'm down by 2 now, and on the next play Kobe hits another 3, so I'm up by one. Well I believe J.23 shot 2 free throw and only made one, but next play Kobe shoots a 3 and gets fouled. He hits all 3 free throws and I forgot what events happened but the Cavs wound up leading again, so I call for an intentional foul and Kobe is the idiot that fouls hughes. Kobe fouls out and Hughes sinks 1 of 2 free throws. Anyways next thing you know I belive Smush Parker hit a 3 and I was up by 1. Cavs get the ball and Lebron attempts the shot but he misses and Brian Cook gets the rebound. He gets intentionally fouled and makes both free throws. It is now the Cavs ball with about 8 seconds left and down by 3. Well J.23 decides not to call a timeout and run it up the court, where he finds Lebron by the 3 pt line in the corner, you can imagine what happens next. Lebron James shoots a fadeaway 3 with Odom running at him to tie the game at the buzzer. You heard it, he was falling OUT OF FUCKING BOUNDS and tied the game. Well the first overtime, Parker came up huge for my team and Lebron was going at it too, first overtime ended with Smush getting an open look at the baseline but missing the shot, so we went on to a second overtime. This is where it all got fucked for J.23, and I took full advantage and wound up winning by 8 I believe, but Lebron conquered the game for his team. Fact is, if it wasn't for some of Lamars late offensive boards and Smush Parkers late 3's, Lebron would've ended it in the first OT. Great game played by both teams.

Game 2- Bobcats(me) vs. Hornets(J.23)

Well basically this was a low scoring game with a few extremely good highlights and Peja just opening a can of whoopass on me. Game was tight throughout but he went up by 11 late in the 3rd and well beat me. I was down by 1 late in the game but Peja just owned me. Morrison had a costly turnover with under a minute left that sealed the deal. No real interesting stories except it was just a back and forth game that wound up going J.23's way. Final Score is 68-72 with Hornets winning.

most definitely. in the cleveland game i was trying to establish ilgauskas and hughes early but they kept missing gimme's. hughes finished the game with 16 points and 6 boards on 6/16 shooting and i think ilgauskas had 8 points. ultimately, i had to jock lebron, but i still lost, lol. but that's not typical of how i play though, i usually spread the ball around, this was just an exception

i got my ass kicked by doobie. he was the rockets, i was the heat. for me, i tried pounding the ball down low to shaq. he got fouled tons, but couldn't convert the free throws, which ultimately cost me the game. doobie lit me up with tracy mcgrady -- doing his damage from the perimeter primarily. he finished the game with 35 points, 7 boards and 4 assists. wade led my team with 32, 6 assists and 3 boards. however, he only shot 10-30, and 11-14 from the free throw line overall.

I wish I had Live for my 360, I would kill you guys.

Indy don't you mean 2K7? I don't see why you would want Live on a platform that has 2K7. Just wondering, Doobie and j.23, are you playing on xbox or xbox 360 and does the game lag when you play online?

I think he means live as in Xbox Live, so he can play online.

ON a side note, anybody considered putting a 2k7 online association together. WOuld be cool to get a NLSC league going. Would be really sweet, have to hold off to 2k7 comes out in Oz though on 360

we play on xbox and nope it doesn't lag. no lag at all, it's so smooth. there seems to be a glitch during the free throw animation where everything slows down immensely. other than that, no complaints. always a fun game.

Yeah I was referring to XBOX Live, but those two guys are still stuck in current gen so it wouldn't matter anyways.
