Well yeah, after all it is 02. But I don't think it's too bad, especially for its year. I've played 02 ever since January of 2002 and I'm still playing it, so it doesn't really bother me. :) Here is a comparison of 02 and 06. The differences are noticeable but not very significant.

Thanks. You didn't play against Minnesota but you'll play soon.

Cable wrote:I like the recap style. (Y)

This is going to be hard for me. I want the Leafs to win, but I have to cheer for the Oilers too.

Keo, maybe you could post like which line everyone's on, how they compare to their team, etc.?

Thanks, I'm glad the recap came out alright. I guess you can kind of cheer for both teams since we're not in the same conference. And sure, that's not a bad idea. I'll see what I can do.

Davis, Grant's Rangers Burned Late By Keon's Flyers

Image3 Image2

3 NLSC players were in action as Sam Keon's Philadelphia Flyers visited rivals D. Davis and Dean Grant's New York Rangers. Both goalies, Keon and Lundqvist were tested but managed to shut the door and keep it a close game. D. Davis tested Keon with a couple shots but failed to record a point. Dean Grant played a solid defensive game but ended up with a -2 plus-minus ranking.

Keon was beaten twice by Jaromir Jagr and Jason Ward, while Henrik Lundqvist allowed three goals, including the game winner scored late by Joni Pitkanen. Sam Keon wins his first game in the NHL in what was a nailbiter right to the end.

Scoring Summary

Image Jagr (Unassisted) Ward (Nylander, Malik)

Sleiman, Luongo, and Canucks Fall to Bertuzzi's Panthers

Image2 Image3

Young NLSC defenseman Khalid Sleiman stepped onto the ice in Florida, as Roberto Luongo and Todd Bertuzzi faced their former teams for the first time since the blockbuster deal.

Khalid Sleiman saw lots of ice time, playing slightly over 21 minutes. Sleiman played a good defensive game and managed one shot goal but it was not enough as the Panther's Peltonen beat Luongo for the game winning goal. The Panthers took the win by a score of 3-2.

Sundin the Hero in Overtime; Leafs Triumph over Ducks

Image2 Image3

Mats Sundin now has 4 points in the first two games of the campaign, as he led the Toronto Maple Leafs to an exciting 3-2 overtime win over the Anaheim Ducks.

The Leafs improve to 2-0 and the Ducks gain 1 point in the OT loss, still looking for their first win of the season. The Ducks star defensemen Scott Niedermayer and Chris Pronger stayed relatively quiet in the game. The two are arguably the best defenceman in the league.

Darcy Tucker scored his 2nd goal of the season after receiving a pass from Sundin and beating Ducks netminder J.S. Giguere with a hard wristshot. Aside from Sundin's game winner, Alexei Ponikarovsky scored the other Leaf goal in the first period. Rob Niedermayer and Todd Marchant responded for the Ducks.

Scoring Summary

looks great, I have 2002 and it was pretty cool back then but I like 2004, if I need a game of virtual hockey I prefer it. I loved the celebration system in 2002, it was pretty customable.

Aaaah man, cant believe we lost on our opener. Hopefully we turn it around next game.

Nice recaps man. (y)

Yeah no kidding. He has the NHL record for most career overtime winners. Jagr and Fedorov are not far behind.

I have 2004 for XBox and it's great. The celebrations are nice, I use windmill, captain and home plate slide. I haven't changed them in ages.

Nice recaps man. (y)

Thanks, that was a really tough loss for NY, late goal and against a division rival.

I like the format of the recaps. Good to see me playing good defense. Wow, what a game against the Ducks, almost lost there. Also, sorry for not psting for so long.
