For school I have to do a 5 miniute talk show...

Mon Aug 21, 2006 12:13 pm

about some topic other than sports... so I'm naturally tapped.

It's just me talking so no co-host, and I can't rely on callers (but there will probally be one or two)

So what should I do it on? I can do it on ANNYTHING. I was going to rant about Scientology but unless something else pops up...

(also, I don't want to talk about Snakes on a Plane because I always talk about SoaP)

Do scientology, and get someone to be on their knees to be Cruise.

Specifically?
What's the issue?

Does it have to be serious, or can it be a joke?

I think an interesting issue on games would be the stupid rating system that they have here in the US... they have a "mature" rating for players 17+, but then have an AO adults only rating for 18+. Games like Halo therefore are lumped into the same category as the GTA games... plus, it isn't the retailers job to be parents and say what's right and wrong for kids.

Ahh damn, cause I was going to sugest a feature on the increase in suicides i San Andreas, interlooped with videos of GTA people jumping out of planes, and off of cliffs, with "interviews".

Nevermind, didn't see the "school' part.

And bases loaded with Giambi up, biotch.

You can tell a touching story of a rich kid in a rich family, and actually it doesn't really feel that great to be rich...etc... I've heard this once last year at our school's week of prayer...

Ya, and you're still spelling it as annything... (Y)

You could hit topics like how people highlight the negative aspects of games like GTA and what not. You could do music...I did about a 5 minute speech on rap music to an all-white English class..Boy was that fun... :eh:

You could always talk about politics. Riot could go for hours on that I bet lol.

You could talk about issues within your school. Are they trying to take soft-drinks out of your school(like mine?).

You could do a real literal interpretation of the dress code. For me the principal tries to say that no baggy clothes allowed, no girls showing their stomachs or shorts that dont go past their fingertips and stuff. You could show them wearing clothing that was popular back in the 80s or early 90s and before.

Last year at school we had to write one question to ask the whole class and it could be about anything. I asked the question, "Was the War in Iraq a good decision or a great decision?". It was perfect.

I just thought I'd share that with you.
