People can annouce their milestones when they want and you're prolly not gonna notice it as much cause most members would pass it by. Sure the thread might have spamming in itself but at least that gives you a reason to lock or delete any unwanted "I have 1000 frikkin spam posts" threads plus it'll make the general talk section a bit tidier.

And maybe tell everyone to do 1000, 2000, 5000, 10000, etc. I think once you hit 2000, 3000 isn't a big deal.
