We already have a thread about this, but you can't have too many threads. He was a great guy and a great player. He is the best Minnesota sports athlete of all time, better than Mikan and Garnett. He gave us the best moment in Minnesota sports during the 1991 World Series. He was just a such a great guy and he had such an impact on the state and on the game of baseball. He truely was an inspiration for all. It's very sad to see him and the whole baseball community is mourning his loss. He approached the game the right way and he always had a smile on his face.

Kirby Puckett quotes-
"Don't take anything for granted, because tomorrow is not promised to any of us."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Kirby Puckett's going to be all right. Don't worry about me. I'll show up, and I'll have a smile on my face. The only thing I won't have is this uniform on. But you guys can have the memories of what I did when I did have it on."

God, will we ever miss him. He died too young, way too young. His baseball career was cut too short because of glaucoma, and now his life was cut too short because of a stroke. But he never complained. Rest in peace, Kirby...rest in peace.

Batting 3rd...the center fielder...#34....KIRBBBBBBBBBBBBY PUCKETTTTTTTTTTT!!!!
