How do you reckon the aussies will go in the tour?
DO you reckon the crowds will be as hostile as they are being talked up to be , and if they start in on the racist crap like they are claiming doesnt that then make the south africans hypocrites for making a complaint against the australian behaviour?
Any other opinions on the tour starting this friday?

Interesting point there matty about the south africanz(sic) as hypocrites if they do the same. All I know is how strong this aussie team is. They've gone into pakistan, the west indies and india and won convncingly, and they are tougher crowds.
I'm more worries about McGrath and if he goes. We all saw how weak the aussie bowling attack is without him.
And a footnote, i hope his wife gets better soon

The South Africans can suck my left nut. They're just Poms with tans. We'll give them a hammering, no bowling depth but it's not like their batsmen are in form.

Is Andre Nel healthy? He and that african.. Nahatini? I dunno.. they're top class fast bowlers, and Smith is a good leader. Then you throw Kallis and Pollock in the mix and they have a shot. Just not a good one.

Yeh i hope she pulls through OK aswell.
You gotta remember McGrath is probably only going to play up to the world cup and then retire anyway, so is going on a tough tour without him such a bad thing? I know hes the best fast bowler australia has ever had, but, we need to look at life after McGrath anyway. It should be a chance to try some young quickies, ie Shaun Tait and Mitchell Johnson (im not a Mick Lewis fan i think hes really over-rated). Also its good to see Shane Watson back in the team... Is Tait over his injury does anyone know?

Smith is a fuckin whinger, i hate him and i love seeing South Africa lose because of him
And apparently Nel and Ntini and Kallis are all fit and ready to go

He may be a wanker, but I admire the way he's always trying to win games, rather than trying to save face and play conservative.
As for playing without McGrath as a possible good thing, I spose you could say that. But what would happened in last years playoffs, and rasheed got hurt and they had to play Darko, would that be good for detroit?
Tue Feb 21, 2006 8:37 pm
*glare* dont say Rasheed and Hurt in the one sentence!! u will jinx us!!!
and not so much in playoffs but Darko getting more playing time woulda been a good thing - im waiting to see how he goes in Orlando...
and we still have the greatest ever in Warney
Tue Feb 21, 2006 8:40 pm
Thats true, Warney is a machine and people should recognise him as perhaps the second best player ever, behind only Sir Don.

sad thing is he will probably end his career second all-time in wickets to a man that had to have the rules changed to make his action legal

Don't even get me started on Murali. Although you've gotta love the footage of officials going over the pitch with wire brushes.
