Isn't that Windows Vista? or is there actually a "Windows XP 64-Bit"? It'd be nice if there was a link or something because I'm sure (unless I'm wrong) most of us don't know about it.

Hello...
Don't bother. You will be pained by the search for hardware drivers, and difference in performance compared to the standard 32-bit Windows XP is marginal. In some instances, it's actually slower in performance compared to it's "lesser" version.

What about users with a 64-bit processor? Like an Athlon-64?

well, that's a given, that you'd try it only if you have an x64 processor. i don't think you can even install it on a 32bit one.

I have a 64 bit processor, but I won't bother with Windows 64 until it gets much more commonplace.

So... it just makes your computer faster?

well... once 64bit software comes out, you will be able to perform twice as many instructions at once.

Currently you can fit 32 bits per instruction, but once software is written to send 64 bits per instruction, you can fit two instrutions into one... if you get what I'm saying.

Its kind of like a dual core computer, but not exactly.

I think I get it.
