VIDEO CARD!!

Fri Jan 13, 2006 4:50 am

Hello!
Please help me choose the right GFX!

Which GFX is better? ATI or NVIDIA?
thx (Y)

Fri Jan 13, 2006 9:34 am

i use nvidia, works good.

Fri Jan 13, 2006 10:15 am

what sort of games do you play?

Fri Jan 13, 2006 10:29 am

which is better for nba live?

Fri Jan 13, 2006 10:47 am

you would only need something like a ATI Radeon 1800XL or something similar for nba

Fri Jan 13, 2006 2:37 pm

My graphics card isn't good enough for NBA Live, but everything else on my PC is way over standard. I have the prob with the arena names (on the court) flashing. I just try to ignore it.. I'm too cheap to buy a new grfx card.

Well...
I need video card that will work good with the new games today.
I want it to work with new games!
So which one will be better?
thx..

I'm a supporter of nVidia myself, got a new card not all that long ago (replacing my old GeForce 4 Ti4200). No complaints so far. :)

You know my oppinion Eldad, if I were you, I would go with GeForce.

It's not the brand of the card that matters...its the motion in the ocean. :hump:

Similarly, when you're with a girl it's not size that matters but rather the speed of your processor. :P

i upgraded from my old GeForce MX2 and now i have a Geforce FX 5200 which is alot better and runs my games good
i prefer Nvidia because i have never had an ATI

Sun Jan 15, 2006 5:10 am

I've had mostly ATI's, and they always worked great for me. NVIDIA's are just as good though. I always buy the best graphics card out there when I buy mine, so it depends which brand has the better card at the time.

I'll pay that, but I'm taking points off for failing to use the "3 1/2 inch floppy" reference. (N)

ATI all the way! I have always liked ATI's performance. I just purchased a 256MB Radeon X850XL for $215 which isn't bad at all. I just sold my Radeon X800GTO which played NBA Live at 1600x1200 at max settings with no lag whatsoever so I'm sure this will do even better. Plus if you get a Sapphire it comes with Trixx to overclock it or you can use the Omega drivers to get more bang for your buck.

I have an ATI Radeon 9200SE, is that shitty?

Sat Jan 21, 2006 7:00 am

i have ATI Redeon X700 pro and run the game of highest graphics with no problem
