World of Nintendo Catalog from the 90's

Postby Mazzocchi on Tue Jan 31, 2006 7:26 am

Some of you who have been Nintendo fans for a long time may remember “The World of Nintendo”, which was a catalog of Mario merchandise on just about everything you can imagine. It really shows you just how far Nintendo went with the merchandising end of the franchise, oh, and there are some pretty funny comments on most of the pictures. Oh yea, and it is from the 90’s, so be prepared for some crazy hair and clothes. Check it out here.

I'm laughing my friggin ass off here
it might be a little long but it's WELL worth it

I think it's a sign of how old you're getting when you can remember stuff like this, as well as when Nintendo vs Sega was the big war in video games. :(

They look like they're from the 80's. As far as I'm aware, the 80's was the worst decade for fashion.

There was a Super Mario Bros show that was mixed live action skits with legendary pro wrestling manager Captain Lou Albano playing Mario and some other guy playing Luigi, as filler between the animated Mario series. There was also that awful movie.

I was thinking of a game show where participants would play video games plus an obstacle course then later a bonus for the winner is a shopping spree where they can grab games and consoles but I don't think it was a nintendo show

That sounds familiar. There were a few kids gameshows with similar formats here in Australia up until around the mid 90s.

I don't even remember what they were called. Plus I think we got that around 5 years after it's original airing since the people there dressed kinda weird
