No comments...weird.

It looks pretty good man. I like the background a lot. The white band and text, that's a different story. I suggest putting the white bar along the bottom (and maybe only on one side of Paul.) As for the text, get rid of the drop shadow, and amybe make it brighter. The pic of Paul doesn't look very good though. I can see you duplicated the layer, blurred it and set it to...overlay? You ended up with way too much red in his face. Try destaurating the pic, and if there's still a lot of red saturate it with a Hornets-teal colour.

Just make your text stand out a bit more. Maybe an emboss, or some other type of blending effect... i usually just mix and match blending effects till I get the desired look.

Oh also, move your text to the top layer.. so the pattern isn't over top of it, it takes away from the boldness of the text.

And i agree w/ Colin, desaturate the pic of Chris Paul.

I really like the color scheme and background though. Good job! (Y)

And I suggest you just keep it as plain text. :D

And yeah Cyril, 'scanlines' are waaaay overused. And poorly used too. They should be very low-opacity and never over a stock pic (ie. the player.)
