Help me.. (Please don't move or lock)

In a way this is urgent , I need an answer by around 1:00 pm eastern time . Please don't lock or move since I made a thread about this (in a way) in the other games section like a week ago and I didn't get a reply . Anyways , I'm going to buy XBOX Live today , and I am using a router . I have.....

..... connected into my moms room , on the main internet base . That router gives internet to my room and my brothers room through this.......

Well , I'm going to connect the XBOX Live in my room , and that satelite thing is all I have , Its just that connected to a USB port on my laptop . Now , Is there any way at all that I can connect XBOX live into my room? Everything that has to do with the internet is in my moms room (ethernet cable , modem , router , etc...). Please don't move this I need an answer before I go to gamestop later . Please help me , thank you in advanced.

I think I actually want to lock and move this since you asked not to. I won't however. Instead I will get your hopes up by thinking that you have a reply from someone who has an answer to your question.

Are you talking about XBox or XBox 360? If you're talking about XBox it might be possible if you have a router with ethernet ports. I don't know if they have wireless routers which connect to ethernet ports...if they do you can buy one of those and connec the ethernet cable to the xbox / 360.

I haven't looked in-depth at Xbox Live, but I don't see why you couldn't since I believe you can connect Xbox Live to a wireless network. If you're not willing to put in a few hours to make sure it works though, I wouldn't buy it.

Shit , I'm going to buy it in a few hours . I am going to get an ethernet cable extension + xbox live 60$ starter kit . I hope it works out.

Oh, you're using an ethernet cable from your mom's room. Well, that's more reliable than a wireless connection, so go for it.

Whats the point of normal XBOX now? Just keep the money you got and save it for a 360, PS3 or REV.

yea , I got home , I got Xbox Live . WOOOOOOOOOOh . My brother is coming home at around 6-7 pm to help me bring the ethernet cable or w/e . He knows how to connect it . Anyways , if anyone wants to play me tonight in any of these games......
