Copa Sudamericana: Boca champs!!

Today was the finals for the Copa Sudamericana 2005, which is basically a tournament like the World Cup but between teams from Central and South America. Boca vs. Pumas.
I'm so happy Boca won! The game finished 1-1 and we won in penalties. 2005 has been a great year for Boca. 5 days before, we won the cup in the Argentinian league. This is a great Christmas present for me and all the Boca fans out there.

Yay! I'm also a Boca "fan". Hey Emiliano, do you know why they call "gallinas" to the guys of River Plate? I've always wanted to know.

Glad to know you like Boca
They call River "gallinas" because back in the 1960's, River lost a final against Penarol 4-2. During the game they were winning 2-0 and they lost the game. That also marked 18 straight years of River not winning any championships. That's why we call them "chickens" or "gallinas".
