HDTV Question

How can I know if my TV is HDTV???? how do I check?

HDTV is High Definition TV, i thought you had to get one of those recievers for it?

From what I'm reading at other forums, you can play the 360 on normal TV's.

HDTV can play through any TV however if it is not HDTV compliant it will only be SDTV. If you have an LCD TV then it if HDTV ready and some Plasmas are HDTV ready. I dont think the normal TVs are though. Don't quote me on that though.

If it says HDTV on the TV itself, then yes, if not, then you're gonna have to look at the picture quality yourself and compare with actual HDTVs. If I'm not mistaken, aren't all plasma TVs considered HDTV?

no not all plasmas or all LCD TVs are HDTV, has anyone actually got one or seen one before and noticed any diference in picture quality

That is correct. I do not own an HDTV but I still have 360 and it works perfectly fine. They get you two sets of AV cords (1 for HDTV and 1 for regular TV).
