If you were in the NBA, wouldn't you be happy to play on any team? I mean personally I'd be happy to play in any team, even the Raptors, Hawks or New York. I wouldn't whine about not winning, I would be dissapointed and stuff, but I wouldn't whine and ask for a trade, because I would enjoy my job, enjoy playing ball, and make good money for just playing some ball. I'd be happy that I am even playing on a team and not being a free-agent. I would rather play for a crappy team and make some money and enjoy playing than being a FA and not making any money and just sitting at home waiting for a team to sign me.
Some players aren't even trying on certain teams, they are so frusterated about the team record that they see no reason in trying and just playing sloppy basketball. For example Vince Carter, when he was in Toronto last season, he didn't try hard, and what was his reason for doing so? He said the team was bad and they kept losing. But why were they losing? Because their star players wasn't giving 100% and who is that star player? Vince Carter. He is whining about the team not having a good record and losing a lot, but its because of him.
I don't understand those players... They get payed millions of dollars to do what they enjoy and to give 100% so they can become a good team and maybe get into the playoffs, but some of them refuse to give 100% and that affects the whole team and the whole organisation.
I mean wouldn't you rather play and make a 'lil money playing ball than not playing at all? I mean, if you were on a team (in the NBA) and you get like 20-30mins per game, get like $10mil a year, would'nt you try your hardest regardless of what the team record/history is?

Its easy to say stuff like that when you're on the outside looking in.

I'm sure it would be great to play for any team.. but in a way I can understand certain players wanting to play for a certain team.. I dont agree with it.. but I can see why they would want to.. basketball is a competitive sport and the objective is to win.. you'd want to go to a team with a greater chance of winning.. but shit like what Steve Francis did at the NBA Draft is just cowardly..

I'd work my ass off on any team, because I'd be grateful to be making millions. Competitively, it's frustrating to lose and while having a passion for the game, money doesn't come in anymore, business doesn't come in anymore, it's all about winning. I can understand guys like Vince Carter not giving 100% because of frustration, but that little whining bitch has also got to think about the money he's making, he has to think about his organization, and his teammates who expect him to play hard every night. It's not an easy job emotionally, but goddamn, making millions to play a game, I'd expect somebody to be at least grateful.

I'd like to think I would be happy to simply be in the NBA, but I think that after a while the euphoria might wear out and, like any other occupation in the world, start to get annoyed by the negatives in the job. I'd certainly still have preferences as to where I'd like to work and what kind of working environment I'd like to be in, but I'd like to think I wouldn't act like a spoiled brat when I wasn't totally happy with the situation for whatever reason.

I suppose when Vince is rich, he doesn't want more money than winning, so he demand to be traded cuz the team doesn't have a good chance of winning.
