You said that there is a possibility that the moon is going furthur away because we get closer to the sun. That implies that the moon is stationary, as it "supposedly" orbits the earth.

No, I didn't mean that the moon is getting farther away because we are getting closer to the sun. I was stating two different theories.

The moon is getting farther away.

The suns is getting closer.

I didn't mean to make them sound related, however some people think it is.
