I did last year, but not the 'big' meet, I was away in Vancouver. I ran the 4x1, 4x4 and the Medly relay (100, 200, 200, 400, I did a 200) at the preliminary meets.

And I'm going to see them in Toronto!

My best time is 8.99 s from my couch to the toilet
Preparation will only take you so far. After that you've got to take a few leaps of faith.

The last time I did a run in measured time was 2 years ago (age 14) and I did 6 laps (2400m) in 10:00. Got me 10 out of 10 on my fitness test for PE so I was happy.

I play basketball and our coach has been making us go to track meets lately, to help us further condition. I have run 3 miles in 18:30, not bad for a non-track runner?

I ran track and cross country back in the late 90's in high school. I ran the 400 about :54 and the 800 in 1:59 but that was in a split for a 4x800. The mile was my baby, I ran in the 4:40s each time out, but in our conference that wasn't even 6th best we had a couple guys that ran 4:20s. My cross and track days were so much fun, the best times of my life, met a lot of girls, whowere in good shape, i might add and got to compete. Keep trucking those times are real good for a 13 year-old.
Today I ran a 5:49 mile without competition in the city, and I might run a 5K on Sunday.

i ran cross country, my xc coach tried to get me to do track and field, but i was lured away by Ultimate Frisbee.
if i did run track, then my event would have been the 1 mile or 2 mile.
