Likes:
- Manager Mode: Control your team with more of a financial control on your team (Sponsors etc.)
- International Selections: A huge list of players that you could select for International games and tournaments instead of just 5 or 6 reserves.
- Stadiums: A much bigger list of stadiums
- Menu: The menu is awesome if you ask me.. the big screen shows highlights of the classic flashback commentary. Also has a retro section where you can see where EA Sports started with the FIFA series.
- Highlights: You can view the best highlights from the recent season in the Premiership, Serie A, Bundesliga and more.
- Classic Players and Bio's: Play classic teams to unlock their bio's
- Creation Zone: Create a player option is a GIANT step up from what it was last year.. you can even edit your players celebrations.
- Gameplay: Gameplay is a little better than 2005 but still needs some work. Certain parts have improved such as control of the ball and passing.
- Penalty Shootout: I've noticed the kicks are much more realistic now and the goalies have better animations when saving a ball or getting scored on.
Dislikes:
- Fast breaks: Player on a fast break sometimes completely stops to shoot the ball.
- Difficulty: Seems the higher the difficulty the faster the gameplay is for some reason.
- Running: Sometimes the players run and the animation is great and then sometimes you notice the players are running like they got a bamboo stick up their ass.
- International Teams: Still not enough International Teams in the FIFA series. Personally I'd like to play with Iran, Japan, South Korea.. Jamaica and many other teams.
I see people saying PES5 is awesome and WE8 is much better. But in my opinion I'll continue with the FIFA series until the PES series has better licensing and authenticity. That's the biggest thing to me when it comes to sports games.
All in all I gave 2005 a 7.5/10 and I'll give FIFA 06 a 9/10.
Now I'm going back to buy it
