TOM-YUM-GOONG is the story of a young man named Kham (Tony Jaa) whose life is turned upside down when an international mafia syndicate, based in Australia , captures his two beloved elephants and smuggles them thousands of kilometers away to Sydney . The two elephants are far more than mere animals to Kham and his father. They are part of his family and were being prepared to be presented as a token of devotion to his Majesty the King of Thailand. The only way Kham can possibly save the animals is by venturing into a foreign land for the first time.

Taking on a mafia group to rescue two elephants from a foreign country presents a huge challenge, even for a martial arts master like Kham. Despite the help of Sergeant Mark (Petchthai Wongkamlao), a Thai police Sergeant based in Australia , and Pla (Bongkuch Kongmalai), a Thai girl forced into modern day slavery, the going gets tough. They must take on the ruthless gang of Madame Rose (Jing Xing), whose henchmen include Johnny (Johnny Nguyen), a Vietnamese thief and martial arts expert, and the hulking TK (Nathan Jones).

Kham has no choice but to risk his own life for the animals he loves…

*Note : In Thailand, Tom Yum Goong means "Shrimp Soup"

What the hell are you saying? I can't even understand half of that illiterate trash you are trying to type out. If you don't know anything about these kinds of things and come up with such idiotic and ignorant responses, then simply don't reply in the thread.

So anyway.

This is such a typical Bruce Lee-esque movie plot. Some gang comes in, and Tony Jaa beats them up. (N)

Some of the things that Tony Jaa did in Ong Bak were fucking insane though.

Ye he been around giving bad responses like " Who the fuck is Navarro and in this one". There is something called searching the net.

But to stick on to topic, Tony Jaa does some insane stuff in this too. Well I am a fan of these types of movies so ye I enjoyed it.

Sweeeet, just my kind of 'fight' movie. Gotta check that out when it comes out here.
I've never heard of him before, but from the previews, he reminds me of Jet Li rather than Bruce Lee.

By the way, props to those stuntmen.. Many of those hits look real gruesome.

i had seen ong bak. i was impressed by the stunts and fighting scenes. but the plot- hahah. i didn't like how some of the fights scenes were sped up, a lot of the stuff of was good without that stuff

his 'style' reminds of jackie chan in the aspect that he tries these amazing stunts.. they even replayed some of the stunts, just like in some jackie chan movies

Ong Bak was the type of movie where you just sit back and enjoy the action without worrying about the plot. Kick-ass. (Y)

There's a "Yo' Momma" joke in that statement waiting to come out but I won't dare touch it!
