Problem

Hi guys, I'm looking for some computer help. Recently my windows xp account was deleted. All my music files were on that account in "my documents". It seems that files in "my documents" can only be accessed from the user they were created in. Now my computer says that the same amount of memory is being used as before. This leads me to believe that the files are still there but that I simply cant access them. Would anyone be able to help me with this problem? Maybe a solution as to how to access my documents of one user from another users'. Thanks in advance guys.

Restoring files won't do anything but restoring system files MP3.

Notice Bob when you say the same amount of Memory is not the same amount of disk space available. I don't have win xp but those are things different since the Memory might stay the same even when you delete files. The disk space available is the one how you can determine if the files are still on your disk or what.

If you deleted an account like you said, access to those files might be available somewhere in the registry or in DOS. However, if you formatted your disk or did something else other than deleting "an account" the files might be gone and you will need an undelete/unformat program to get those files back.

I think when you log in with an admin account you can access all files? At least worth a shot.

BTW Next time when you delete an account, you'd better save the My Documents when it gives you the option
