Empire Earth vs Age of Empires vs Age of Mythology

Which ones do you like the best and why?

I have owned all of them. Empire Earth II is great but I have only played the demo. Age of Empires III just came out and it's looking good and I can't wait for the continuation of Age of Mythology :)

I liked how everything worked in Age of Mythology..too bad it was mostly concentrated on just mythology etc.

Empire Earth wasn't too bad either. Graphics were pretty good and you have LOTS of upgrades and epochs to advance through (15! thats a lot). By I found the game too hard. I'm just trying to build as quickly as I can, but the CPU keeps attacking me like crazy within' 5 mins with 50 soldiers.

I think the best real time strategy game I've played has to be Cossack: European Wars. It's got really good graphics (and I mean good...it's a pleasure watching your Warships move around...) and gameply is really amazing. In that, you constantly keep using up food and I don't mean like if you make a soldier that needs 35 food, your supply decreases by that amount and until you make more of him, that amount will stay.

In cossack, it will decrease by 35 and depending on how many peasants or humans you have, your food will decrease more and more by the second. Like if your food crops don't meet the requirements to feed everyone, you will see that your food supply will start dwindling BY THE SECOND. The numbers are going down like what you would see in slot machines. Same goes for every other resource.

You can reach resource amounts up to the MILLIONS...but the thing is with cossack, the bigger the better right? Well yes, but it's also very expensive. From what I remember, a battleship (the highest level for warships) will cost you around 100,000 food 320 000 wood 50 000 gold and about 32 000 for iron and coal. And thats PER battleship, and before you can even think about building one, you have to research it first, which can total you up to 600,000 food and 100 000 food for that improvement alone from like a small warship, galley, then another one i forget, then battleship...so you're always having to find resources.

Another one is when you do create your military units, each unit can actually accent each other in battle. Unlike those other games, you select units then go rush adn attack. With this, you will probably meet your opponents in an open battle field and you with your military. What you can actually do is set them up in formation. Each for mation has its advantages and uses in combat. If you have a group of phalanx (or at least the 17th century version of it lol) and have them go in a line position with their spear down...omg it because an almost impenetrable wall of sharp steel. You can then have someone behind them as people with guns then have your knights and horses. Its just got so much depth. Good game I suggest you take a look.
