Rice = Best NFL Player of All-Time

Skill-wise or stat-wise? I'd rate Dan Marino above him.

If you are great player like Jerry Rice, you can leave the game on your own terms.

He had a great career. Hopefully, he can sign a one day contract with the 49ers and retire a 49er.

Jerry Rice is by far the greatest reciever of all time. I don't think you can compare a reciever to a quarterback, they have totally different roles.

Much love to Jerry Rice, he's a guy I idolized in football when I was younger, and he will always be the best reciever to ever play the game.

Randy won't break ALL of Jerry's records . I'm not sure if this is correct , but Rice HOLDS OR SHARES 45 NFL RECORDS!!! That is insane!!!Randy Moss has to much problems in his career and if he does break all of Rice's records , he won't be remembered as the greatest of all time because of his reputation.

Randy Moss doesnt really have a bad rep as TO, Jamal Lewis or Ray Lewis. The worst thing Moss did was FAKE MOON the fans. TO gets fights with his team, Jamal Lewis drug deals, and Ray Lewis murdered someone with a knife

for sure the best best receiver of all time

to their credit, rice and lawrence taylor are the only players that are the clear cut best from their respective position

very debateable whether rice is the best of all time

is there a bias against receivers? for as great rice was, he never was named league MVP. even in the strike shortened year where he broke the nfl touchdown record

as for this moss talk of breaking his records, i agree with doobie there. 45 records... wow. plus you have to factor in a lot of rice's records were results of his legendery worth ethic and his durability.. neither of which i think moss has

i used to have a "just did it" Jerry Rice poster up in my room back in the day... congrats to rice on a great career.

But no-one ever mentioned any of those guys breaking any records , I said if he does break the records , he won't be remembered as a great person cuz of his attittude.

Moss is durable, last year was the only year he missed a game in his entire career.

yeh but he seldom goes down the middle, and when he does, he normally gets crocodile arms. i'm not even sure if moss can take a hit. he can't be a deep threat his entire career, his age will catch up to him

why did he retire too late? he has every right to play if he wants to, especially if there's a GM/coach that's willing to give him a roster spot
