Hey guys, mind teaching me some useful dribbling moves? It's good if you can include videos...
There's a move I really wanna learn...it's the one in Live 2005 which th guy kinda moves the ball from his right to his left and lifts it high, then quickly puts it to his right to get pass the defender.. what move is that?
Need help asap...and I can spin fully, I cant spin pass a defender ... help!
Thanks in advance

Killer Crossover

Umm... Let's see. A crossover to me is basically just a move where you fake one way then you quickly switch directions to throw the defender off.

No one really needs to help you with specific moves, hell if you can just dribble right past a guy, there's no need for a move. But just the basics of the cross over/between the legs/spinmove, combined with quick hands and feet, will let you get past your man. Like that link you posted said, figure out what your defender will and will not react to, and capitalize.
But also remember, don't just start dribbling as soon as you get a pass from someone. Square up so that they have to respect your shot, and then use jab moves to help you. Jab with your strong foot to your strong side. If the defender moves, you can either shoot, fake a shot and then drive, or you can immediately just cross your strong foot over to your weak side and go that way. Just see what works for you.

There are also a few ball handling threads made in the past here. Just search for something along the lines of 'ball handling'.

Ok, thanks...

also learn the Magic Johnson reverse crossover....I read it in a book one day and incorporated it into my game and got great results....not many defenders are expecting you to cross them over the other way

If I see one more of these threads I'm going to bundle all of them and make like a starter's guide to playing basketball.
It's just sad that people can't just use their brains, watch tapes, imitate what's happening & you'll learn how to play the game. Not everyone learned the game with a personal trainer.

yep, that is true....sometimes I think common sense is one of the most important factors of whether someone is truly smart or not....I see it at work all the time....you might be educated, but if you don't have common sense and initiative for that matter, then you suck....take a guy like Jae (sorry Jae, everyone knows you so you are an easy example)....he might lament his lack of education, but just from the way he posts (I don't know how he acts in real life, so I have to just go off that), he seems to have a pretty decent amount of common sense which goes a long way....
as for bball tips, if you need help then watch videos and read books (that have basic and more complex bball drills)....then go onto the court or wherever and practice, practice, practice....that's what I did and it worked well

My mommy says I'm
special because I take private lessons on basketball at my country club.
