I just realized

... how cool ESPN 2K5 actually is. Recently played it again after a while and the animations/graphics + association mode are pretty damn good.

It's a shame it doesn't come out for PC

But hows the dynasty mode and the gameplay?

In ESPN 2K5 they call dynasty mode Association. So as Green Lantern said its pretty good. Gameplay is very good also, its a real shame its not on PC.

The association mode has much more depth than Live,you have to talk to your Players for team chemistry,you can put your players on a trading block or hire new Assitant coaches. Besides simulating you can play 'Full authority' where you set up who will be sub'ed and how many shots he should take; it's kinda like a RPG.

The thing that impressed me the most though,was the Draft. The layout is great,you get detailed player profiles and even comparisions to NBA players. The draft itself is a lot of fun since it's set up like the real draft ,where you're in front of a Computer checking out the datas while the time is winding down.

What about the gameplay? Does it have freestyle or something?

Yeh it does. Its actually fairly similiar to live except different.....The good thing is when youve crossed someone up and you are driving by them its like you and him are bumping into each other, its pretty cool.

Ok, What about the graphics? I have been hearing its better every year but is it really that better?
And is it available for PC?

Ok, I have the game and all I can say is, its a pretty good game, BUT the gameplay sucks mainly because you basically turn the ball over everytime you have it and the shots are just so ugly. It's hard to explain, but the gameplay is worse than Live IMO and I'm real good at basketball games so my style of play ain't the problem. I still win the games, but the gameplay gets very boring after awhile, because the players can do only a couple of things on offense.

As for the graphics, that's the best characterisitc of the game. Especially if your playing on the side camera mode, the graphics look very good, but the players are very skinny kinda. None of them really have a body definition. I wouldn't consider The Association deeper than the dynasty mode in Live mainly because the thing where the player comes to the GM or coach all the time gets a little old. There is no way a player comes to the staff after just about every game to ask them those type of questions. It's really pointless to me, but another thing I like about the game is the halftime recap and after games. The pre-game is good too.
