windows media player codec help.

i downloaded a steve nash mix, but it says i need a codec. i download the XVid codec, my media player suggested, but it was corrupt.

the video is in AVI format, i have media player 10.

so if anyone has a working codec for me or anything, please help

Have you tried playing it in RealPlayer? I've encountered similar problems with WMP and found that RealPlayer will generally be able to play those files and is much better when it comes to locating plug-ins and codecs.

You will never need another codec or player again, this will work for absolutely anything. Its free btw.
