That's Raging bull you're talking about where he gained 60 pounds.

Platoon & Full metal jacket were more authentic and more real IMO. You can really see how Charlie Sheen's character is cracking down in "the Platoon" & you get to see how insane war really is in Full metal jacket.

If you haven't seen Full metal Jacket ot Platoon, you haven't seen the best war movies.

BTW: have you seen "Apocalypse now"?

I'll be sure to check out both.

Actually, I just saw Apocalypse Now last week for the first time. I thought Marlon Brando was brilliant, but the whole movie was alright, imo. A little slow, not very convincing on Charlie Sheen's side.

wow, that's kind of elitist and close-minded of you, don't you think? just because other people like something you don't like, they're "nonintellectual"???

I've never seen Napoleon Dynamite but come on....what kind of comment was that?

Thu May 12, 2005 11:15 am

have you boys dig "BAD BOYS 2"
it's gotta be the longest action movie hollywood ever made IMO

Umm, you mean his father Martin Sheen
And I thought he was very great in the movie.

Now that I think of it... Remember that comedy Charlie Sheen was in, the one with him being a pilot and all? ( There goes my memory again... ) . In the sequel, they would constantly make fun of famous movies such as Rambo, Apocalypse now, wtc. There was one scene were Charlie was in a river boat in 'Nam or something, and there was a riverboat coming their way and passing by them, with Martin Sheen on board!!! (cameo appearance) . Charlie notices, seems baffled as in thinking, the scene reminding him of something, probably. Then he has a revelation and calls out to Martin: "I loved you on 'Wall Street' "!!!

That was one of the funnest times I had watching a movie... (Y)

Thu May 12, 2005 8:47 pm

Yeah I know, that's probably the funniest scene in the movie :)
The movie is "HotShots II" btw.

lol, I knew something was wrong when I realized how young Charlie Sheen still is  It's amazing how Martin and Charlie look so alike.

Fri May 13, 2005 5:26 am

Fri May 13, 2005 5:29 am

More like middle 40's I think.

Fri May 13, 2005 5:35 am

His father was more classy, though...

well of all the people i know that love the movie, they are either immature or not very bright. The people that are mature and are smart dont like it. Thats what i have seen personally, and most of their jokes are stupid humor. They arent very witty.

Fri May 13, 2005 2:26 pm

Then you should meet more people (Y) :P
