Milan. On penalties, after 0-0 in 120 mins.

Although the most deserving final would be Chelsea - PSV based on their semi - final performance...

Yeah it wasn't really an easy attempt to be fair to him, he was on a strange angle. PSV thumped Milan in the last game, shame about the whole away goal thing. I think Milan will take it 2-1 or something, I don't think Liverpool really have enough firepower to keep up.

That being said, if Liverpool win the Champions League (and gain automatic qualifying) and Everton finish 4th the FA has to select only one of them to compete  FIFA won't give them a 5th spot in the CL, so it's either Liverpool or Everton which is a bit unfair really.

yeah.. so no matter Liverpool wins or not..
they won't be able to get there again next year.
So they might just play their game hard out.. like the end of the world..

Actually they could be there next year, the English FA has to pick either Liverpool or Everton to compete if they win the CL. Although apparentely FIFA want them to pick the 4th placed team.

I don't think the CL winner gets an automatic qualification for next year... Maybe I'm wrong though... :?

Nah they do, an identical situation happened in Spain a few years back when Real Madrid won the CL but didn't finish in the top 4 in their league, but they were chosen to represent Spain instead of Real Zaragoza (I think) who finished 4th. Anyways, the FA has decided that the 4th placed team will get the CL spot...

Hmmm, yes , I remember that instance now... It is pretty unfair if Liverpool cannot defens the trophy, if they win it ofcourse. But then again it would be equally unfair if the Toffees didn't make it to the CL after playing their gutrs out this year...

It'd be even worse if Everton get knocked out in the preliminary qualifying thing they have before the real tournament starts.

That round is the financial equivalent of the CL final for some smaller teams, mostly coming from countries outside the big 5. Lots of moolah to be made in the group stage...

Jae... let me rephrase...

If Liverpool appeals to the FA, they can always overturn any decison! If they win, this arguement that they are better than Everton could help them but if they lose... they wont be in champions league!

  you got all that from rephrasing "The FA will let Liverpool play if they win it"?

They can appeal but that doesn't mean they'll win, just saying that they are better than Everton won't do anything for them because Everton (will most likely) finish higher than them in the league so essentially that season Everton were the better side. The most likely scenario is that the FA appeals to UEFA to try and gain one more entry place. That's what they're saying anyways.

Reds all the way baby...I was ecstatic when they beat Juve, enthralled when they beat Chelsea, and I will be in complete jubilation if and when they beat Milan...Come on...they've come this far...they have to win. That way, when they're not in CL next season, all the Reds fans can say that we are eternal European Champions :D As for them getting an "easier draw" than Man U and Arsenal, I think they proved themselves when they beat Juve and Chelsea...take the red pill...

LIVERPOOL *Clap clap clap*

Milan will win. Shevchenko will score 2 goals and for Liverpool Gerrard will score 1. Milan - Liverpool 2-1 - my prediction.
