Perhaps you could explain what the consequences of drilling alaska could be and how they would effect human life negatively?

because when we drill in alaska, even if there was enough to supply the united states for 5 years (which there isnt at all) all it is is putting the burden of having to find an alternative fuel on future generations. while you may think that we have a ton of oil left (and we do) the united states wastes more and more oil every year.

george bush cut spending on programs that reserched alternative fuels and better ways to conserve oil b 53%. this is one of the stupidist moves he made and it WILL hurt future generations.

Dude, we already have alternate fuel supplies. Exon and Shell aren't just going to go out of buisness in 40 years when oil runs out. There are other things we can use and will use.

And, we don't know how much oil is in Alaska. Nobody really knows.
