Looking for a free program to record your desktop

Postby Leander on Fri Feb 25, 2005 7:01 am

I'm looking for a program you can record your desktop.
I'd like to record me playing NBA Live...I found one called My Desptop Recorder but no matter what settings I use, I never get a fluent stream...there are some jumps in it...when I move the mouse around the move is like slow motion afterwards in the recording.

Anyone familiar with such programs?

Thanks, I tried it but it didn't work. I only get the EA Sports screen at the start of Live 2003, then it freezes. :(

Now it worked! I just loaded Fraps when actually being in a Live game...

I've uploaded two short ingame video, Knicks @ Bulls.

On the court:

C Isaac Ballard (generated rookie)
PF Kurt Thomas
SF Vladimir Radmanovic (Sprewell is on IR)
SG Allan Houston
PG Brian Dixon (generated player in his 3rd year)

Watch Radmanovic go for three.

And here watch this great dunk by Isaac Ballard!

Thanks.
It'll be cool to record an entire game :) But too much MB...such a short 20 seconds clips has 160 MB so you have to compress it using a good codec.
And besides that I don't have that much HDD space.

Here are two other ones, Kurt Thomas and a layup and Isaac Ballard and a low-range jumper:

What did you use to resize it? Everytime I record, It's always too big to watch and it captures like only a corner of the screen.
